It is in a typical small Ecuadorian area. Might be a bit disconcerting if you are not used to Ecuador. It will be my go to place in the future and I recommend it. It has a security gate.

Las Hortencias was welcoming and comfortable. It was our first time in Ecuador knowing little spanish. Elizabeth and her family's generosity and kindness made our visit a positive one. After waiting for two hours to get through migrations at the airport and with no way of notifiying Elizabeth, the shuttle transportation was still waiting for us and welcoming. The place is clean and comfortable with a beautiful sunroom to eat breakfast in. They also have a friendly and happy dog!

The staff were so sweet and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. Just felt quiet and cozy. I was very sick on arrival and they were incredibly accommodating.

This place is very convenient for people that need to travel, it’s close to the airport, very quite, peaceful and the staff very friendly and helpful, very welcoming, thank you for everything. They pick you up and take you to the airport of course you have to pay but it’s safe to do this way.

Second time staying here and it was a great stay. Well looked after by this charming family. Very convenient as well, being so close to the airport. Forget about the big chain hotel and enjoy the Ecuadorian hospitality!

We were greeted with a warm welcome. Everything was done to make us feel at home. Shuttles to and from the airport were arranged and on our return trip a delicious dinner was served for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this place!

As I entered the premises I was truly impressed with the layout and cleanliness of the establishment. My room was clean and comfortable as well. Very nice place to stay near the airport. If I travel through Quito again that is definitely my place to stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for clean, comfortable and inexpensive place while passing through Quito. I stayed there for fours only. I slept well enough; the room was very confortable and clean. The place is relatively close to the UIO airport, I reached it in lest than 10 mins. I recommend staying there.
