Hotel was nice and clean. My only complaint was they quit service breakfast at 8 am. We got in late and went down for breakfast at 8:10 - breakfast was done. The person in charge of the breakfast was gracious enough to make us some hot biscuits and gravy (thank you).

Has truck parking! Nice clean rooms. Kitchenette rooms but didn’t use it.

Both rooms smelled really bad. Sheets were very old. The carpet in the hallway was dirty and dingy. There was a lot of trash by the rooms in the hallway at 4 pm.

We had a 2 day stay to see family. The bed and pillows were too soft and uncomfortable. It looked like it hadn't been clean properly, if it all. It wasn't vacuumed, swept or mopped. If you need somewhere to just lay your head and dont care much abut cleanliness this will work.

This hotel is NOT a family friendly hotel and the bar has been set really low for cleanliness and accommodations. This is a hotel that you stay at if you want something below a Motel 6. The shower curtains were moldy, showers were hair covered, beds were definitely from the early 2000's, the fabric on every chair in the hotel and all the carpets in the hotel were absolutely filthy. The room smelled like smoke. A group of oil workers decided to have a fiesta outside our room window (we were saved only by a rainstorm), there is no cleaning staff on weekends at all, so keep your towel. FULL breakfast does not mean a sit down restaurant, it means continental breakfast but unless you want to sit on chairs that are some inexplicable shade of green with grey and black filth, go somewhere else to eat. Sure this is good for oil workers who just want the four S's but for anyone looking for clean affordable accommodations, go to Motel 6 or Super 8!!

The hotel was conveniently located and easy to find. The room was clean, the bedding was clean (but pillows were lumpy), the bathroom was clean and stocked but there were no plastic cups in the room. The facility was clean & quiet. We utilized the dining area for a family gathering during the evening and morning of our stay. The area had a pool table, which we enjoyed as well. Overall, it was better than I expected for a small town in ND and a better place to stay than other hotels we have been in much larger cities. I would recommend this hotel to others.

We had a great stay at Black Gold. The lobby and kitchen were SUPER CLEAN! The guy checking us in was very friendly and more than accommodating. We were only there overnight and got a low rate that included two meals. Our room was clean with a great shower. I would stay there again

My adventure at Black Gold Suites did not have a smooth start. Just as life does not go as planned, Black Gold had a bumpy start with me. However, the staff at Black Gold Suites made all the necessary corrections and made my visit very pleasant. I will definitely return to this property in the future.

We stayed at the BGS for 7 days during a family vacation and received a great rate I had secured months in advance. This hotel is great if you are low maintenance, like oil field workers, because the hotel service (breakfast, towels, cleanliness) for a routine stay was not great. Breakfast was bad, they were consistently out of juice, cups, plates and cereal. Every morning the coffee was cold to luke warm. This all could be byproducts of the shear volume of oil field worker residents. The staff was super friendly and attempted to make things right, but the circumstances caused by the supply and demand was out of their hands.
