Very old and dated rooms. No water in pool. No ice in machine. We turned off the noisy AC and opened the window so we could sleep. No complaints about staff and room was clean and smelled fresh.

They need better parking way to tight

The pool was closed, which we didn’t know when we booked. Also, there is no daily housekeeping, which we knew, but the office is only open for a couple of hours each day as well. This means that when you need fresh towels, linens, toilet paper or other supplies, you need to be there during the limited office hours or when the cleaning staff is there. The building is getting run down and showing it’s age…Outside door doesn’t seal tight, the finish is worn off the tub making it look dirty, AC unit is very noisy, garbage left outside, etc. We knew when we booked that it was an older property, and we had looked at a renovated suite a couple of years ago and thought it would be alright to stay there, but we were sadly mistaken. The maintenance man did act promptly to repair our air conditioner and one of the cleaning ladies did let us know that we could use the pool at a sister property a couple of doors down the street. For the price, we truly would not recommend this hotel.

This location is right on the beach. Will stay here again if we come back to Penticton.

It's old, but the room wasn't bad. Except ants go back to the floor. And it would have been better if there was a towel rack in the bathroom. The location is really nice because the distance to the beach is close and there are lots of restaurants nearby.

We checked in and then walked into a room that smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. I spoke to the front desk who was very unhelpful and said that they had been “airing it out for 2 days” which tells me they were well aware of the smell prior to check in and should have offered an alternate room at that time. She told me there were no other rooms available and gave me a can of glade air freshener spray. The next morning I went and bought some febreze and an essential oil diffuser to try to cover the smell of cigarette smoke. I went back to speak to the front desk as at this point the smoke smell had given me a headache and we have 2 young children with us. She did show me another room we could move to but it was much smaller and said she would not be able to offer any compensation. We paid for a larger room (as well as a non- smoking room) as we are a family and wanted to enjoy the trip in comfort. I asked to speak to the manager and she said he was not available. She then called someone who she claimed was the manager and said she would not be able to offer any compensation but could offer 15% off at the next stay. The customer service was absolutely horrific. A family with young children should not have to stay in a room filled with cigarette smoke residue or be offered move to a smaller room without compensation.

The reservation was made for six people. The room had inadequate kitchen utensils, towels for only two people, one spare roll of toilet paper, and a chair with three chairs. The room was filthy, there was used tissues behind the night stand, old bandage wrappers behind the other night stand. When I went to the office, which was only open from 10 till 6, to ask for a cleaning I was promptly told that they don't do mid stay cleanings. so I asked for a broom and wet mop so that I could clean the floors. When I finished mopping the water was black. After raising my concerns I was told she would send the manager, I'm still waiting. Upon burning some toast we discovered the smoke detector was not working, even when tested. I would highly recommend against staying at this property.

Great stay very close to Okanagan Beach. Excellent location for Beach and many good restaurants within 1 km radius. Good sized room and quiet at night.

Hotels website says there is a heated pool and there are pictures of a pool in the hotel.com gallery.....it's closed and has been for 3 years. When I asked the front desk they said they have asked hotel.com/expedia to remove the pictures but that has not happened. The carpets were stained and the floors were dirt. There was an old bread bag clip and a twist tie on the floor. They clearly weren't vacuumed or swept properly. The wallpaper was peeling off in multiple places and the room had a smell of old cigarette smoke. It says the rooms are soundproof however, we could hear everything happening above us. For the price of the room I would expect a better quality experience. The only reason we rated it a 2 was because the location was excellent and the beds were comfortable.
