What a great place to stay. It was cheaper than the local hotels

Stay was wonderful. Beautiful cabin, beautiful weather and absolutely beautiful views! Couch was terribly worn. Walk to shower house/ bathroom is a trek! Steps to it would be helpful. Overall the price was perfect, cabin very nice. The gamily time it created was amazing!

Clean and beautiful view, better than expected!

Everything was excellent, if I had a suggestion it would be to let guests know via text earlier about special events (ie wedding) that affect facility closures (ie restaurant/bar).

Clean and beautiful view, better than expected!

We recently found this property due to a last minute trip and the price was just right! Very pretty property with alot of things to keep busy if you like to be outdoors, the grounds seem well taken care of! Staff were pleasant and helpful with any questions. However, when we booked we were really excited to use the swimming area and outdoor slide but were sadly disappointed with the restrictions they have. We really wish that information would have been readily available online. Their website could offer alittle more information! Overall, we really like it and would go back!!

Overall we really enjoyed our stay here with our grandkids, but some aspects surprised us and were troubling. First let me describe the good parts because it was fun. The scenery at this ski lodge was Beautiful. We were surprised by how big and nice was the cabin. Our 4 grandkids beach, trampoline, slides , etc and the small lake. I was troubled by a few things. We knew there was no running water or bathroom in the cabin. I asked about the shared bathroom. The desk clerk assured me it was near the cabin, but obviously didn’t know. Technically it was pretty close, but straight up a steep hill without stairs. We did have access to a porta-potty which was overdue for cleaning. The kids had fun so it wasn’t awful.

Everything was $200+/night. I came across Mont du Lac Resort and found a small little cabin for under $100/night. I was on the road by 1 and arrived around 6. Ended up staying 2 nights because of the price and location. Cellphone reception wasn't great but they have free WIFI throughout the property! I had a great getaway. I will utilize this Resort again in the future if I'm in that area. Highly recommend. 5 Stars*****

Its so beautiful and peaceful, not to mention affordable. I would recommend this stay to anyone asking about stays near duluth.

Incredible quiet place the nights we stayed! The bar was great but i wished it would have been open longer and they ran out of tequila. We only received 2 wristbands for accommodations for up to 6 people. We had to buy extras at $18/ person.

The multi-room cabin was awesome for our family, and the wood stove inside was the highlight inside. Views were pretty.

I was not happy we were not informed of a party at the hill restaurant part and the shuttle would not bring us up there since we were not part of the party. My friend and i were so cold from walking just to find out there was no place to dine in and barely made it back down the hill in time for a meal. The shuttle driver was very rude and wouldnt even come back for us. We told a staff member below the hill that we would come just to tube but never again will i stay.

Some amenities provided by facilities offering accommodations are taken for granted (by me, at least). Communication about lack of an indoor bathroom and running water would have been appreciated. It likely wouldn’t have changed our decision to stay here, but we shouldn’t have had to wait until entering the cabin to find out that the expected facilities were absent.
