Super disappointed to have paid a substantial amount of money for Bay View, to wake up to nothing but trees completely covering any visible ocean view. We didn’t notice until the following morning when we woke up due to arriving after dark, otherwise I would have made the complaint immediately.

Amazing hotel!! Loved the design, the hotel is nestled in the mountain with the most beautiful view of the bay. Service in excellent and food is great. This is one of the best hotels we've ever stayed. We had a great experience and highly recommend.

We loved how accommodating the resort was with our needs and wants. Since we were there during the rainy season it would have been nice if the pool was heated. It got a bit cold. Overall we very happy. Thank you.

Staff was excellent. Caring, friendly, and attentive. Everyone had a smile and greeted you with such warmth it was delightful. Really made the experience incredible. Beautiful property overall.

Loved the food, staff, pools and beaches. Only critique is this, the game room isn't up to your resorts standards. Get a decent pool table, a real ping pong table. A card table, a dart board and maybe some TV screens.

We liked the fact the service at the pool was very efficient. We had Kevin a few days and we would order and he brought it quickly. He was terrific. Also loved Meso restaurant. Food and facility was fantastic.

Staff was outstanding, food was excellent, weather was perfect, loved the monkeys and iguanas, kayaks, jet skis, pools, consistently available seating, nearby empty beach, and electric bikes. Would have liked more activities (water skiing or tubing, ping pong, billiards outdoors, etc.). Having additional restaurant options would be good.

This is a beautiful property in a spectacular location. It is great for hikers and walkers, the property is spread out and hilly, and it was really hot. So, be ready for some Sherpa hikes! The staff is very accommodating to shuttle you around on golf carts but then you aren’t enjoying the gorgeous scenery.

This is a beautiful property! I would not recommend it for anyone with issues walking however. They do offer golf cart rides which is very nice, but it’s still a lot of up and down. This did not bother us but I could see how others may have issues. The way it’s built into the side of a mountain is quite stunning but keep in mind the hills and stairs.
The rooms are decent size and have very nice balconies. Linens and toiletries were very nice as well. The staff was extremely friendly, but not always attentive; maybe it’s cultural? We used the new beach club area which isn’t fully operable yet but we really enjoyed that area and the food was great. The morning breakfast buffet was excellent but the other restaurants for lunch and dinner weren’t anything special.
We would recommend this hotel to anyone going to the beautiful Papagayo Peninsula and that cannot afford the Four Seasons.

The personal are nice. Mauricio was very nice, available and helpful.
The restaurants were poor. 3 open out of 5. Food ok, not more. Very poor wine list. And everything way overpriced.
