It is a new hotel so they are working things out. Rooms even smelled new!!! Will give it another try, but some problems. Trouble at check in - it is auto check in but i kept getting an error - someone helped to resolve quickly though. No to go coffee cups - and then ran out of coffee . I waited 25 ministers and had to leave with no coffee. Unexplained breakfast charge on bill for a different day. They said due to how the booking came through. They gave a credit when I pointed it out.

The rooms were very clean and modern. We really enjoyed our stay!

Fantastic! The cozy room was spectacular..king bed right up against a wall with huge window, the room was spotless and quiet, very efficient technology control all over the room. Highly recommend!

The hotel is wonderful, service excellent, location prime. The only downside is the rooms are extremely small. For two people it was not ideal. Otherwise it’s wonderful.

There are no employees visible at the hotel. All interactions are done remotely via tablet. If you have a question or issue you have to call a number, leave message and hope someone gets back to you.

If you are a solo traveller looking for a comfy bed then this hotel is totally ok. The bed is comfy, nice pillows etc. However, if you are travelling as a couple this may not be the place for you. The rooms are small, literally the width of the length of the bed, with the bed length ways at the far end of the room. Anyone wanting to get out of bed from the far side would have to climb over their companion. There is almost no storage. The communal area is nice. Breakfast is ok but they run out of things if you're there after about 7.15. Staff were slow and whilst not unpleasant, didnt really seem to want to be there. For what you get, this hotel is very expensive. I would probably choose somewhere else next time.

Great location back bay of Boston. New, clean, great staff, easy, fast check in, great room tech. Small room , but clean and comfortable.

A brand new hotel located in the trendy part of Boston with trenndy and cool rooms with modern features and a great atmosphere. Will definitely choose this hotel the next time i go back to Boston.

Very similar to a cruise stateroom. The room is as wide as the length of the bed. Meaning if you are on the other side of the bed there is only one way to go to the bathroom during the night , which is to go over your partner …. The sink is outside of the small bathroom.

Great location and brand new hotel

Hotel is new, clean, modern eclectic decor and in a great location! Walkable to shopping, bars, restaurants & public transportation! Staff was nice & friendly! Check in quick! They have a nice bar, small snacks, breakfast avail for purchase. Lots of great seating and work/gathering areas! Hotel is very different, all controlled by technology, in room I-pad operates everything, TV, lights, blinds, temp. Rooms are extremely small, bed is large and the width of the room, hard to get in/out of. No sheets on the bed, only a large heavy comforter. Only negatives: Doors to room are very heavy. Had a hard time getting extra towels. Early am fire alarm went off, tv went out once. None were major issues. I would stay again.

Exceptional staff! Jenna and Jay were friendly and attentive and accommodating. The hotel is super. We loved the design and comfort. The room gave us a cruise ship feel in terms of set up and was just what we needed. The common area is a great space both indoor and out. We loved it here and this won’t be the last visit. Very impressed with CitizenM.

We had a great stay! Even though the rooms are small they feel pretty OK for two people. We experienced a few very small technology issues but the staff were very nice. Hotel is very up to date.

I enjoyed my stay at CitizenM. You are instantly submerged in a beautiful artsy dream the minute you set your feet inside. I loved how the design sets CitizenM apart from other hotels. The lobby is filled with color and textures- art pieces, modern furniture and amazing lighting. The elevator ride continues with the artsy theme with visual art displayed on screens. The room was small but the design is big. I felt so cozy the whole time. I loved controlling everything in the room with the iPad: the curtains, the lighting, the TV. The bed was extra soft with a cute “snuggly” toy. My inner child was happy here. The shower was amazing with AM and PM soap, cool lighting and two shower features. I willl be back!

Very small room, but very new, clean, with a layout that was super well designed. Lots of modern amenities in the tablet that controls the room. Comfortable bed. Downstairs communal lobby area was fantastic. They clearly designed the experience to be social in the downstairs area, and minimal in the room. Location was awesome. Super easy to get to the conference area, where I was working for the week, as well as lots of restaurants and shopping. The size of the room is perfect for one and fine for two. I wouldn’t take my family in this room—way too small. Maybe there are larger options.

Not great - would avoid. First off, location is a MESS- no where to unload or check-in, and NO PARKING AT ALL! Terrible traffic as well. The hotel itself it loud and unorganized. The staff is not helpful. The rooms, while they may be "cool," they are just an oversized closet. The bathroom is not a bathroom, it is part of the room. There is no space for a suitcase or to set up personal items. The sink is smaller than a cruise ship and the bed is wildly too large. The whole hotel smells funky and the doors are absolutely insanely heavy to open. I would not stay here.

I really enjoyed staying at citizenM. Staff were very pleasant, and surroundings very clean. My only concern was the lights of the room being controlled by the ipad!

Citizen M is a micro hotel and very high tech, so you know what you get if you have stayed a one before. Very clean and everyone is so helpful and nice!

The check in process is completely self service but there is one or two check in staff to assist. The guest will also self program their room keys. The rooms at the CitizenM are long and narrow. Actually, the rooms are exactly the width of the bed from head to toe. There are no tables and only one chair under a low shallow shelf on the wall. There’s no bench to put a suitcase on so two people wanting to change clothes will have to do it one at a time. The bathroom/shower is literally a glass booth about six feet long and three feet deep. Everything in the room, blinds, lights, tv are controlled with a tablet in the room which can be very intimidating to those who rarely use technology. I don’t recall seeing any of this disclosed in the hotels.com listing. This was an eye opening experience

Con: Room is tiny. Bed is against the wall, so anyone taller than 6’3” wouldn’t be able to fit. Bathroom is a shower with the door open in front of the toilet. Tight space. Sink is outside the bathroom in the walkway. Pro: The location of the hotel is great. Access to subway across the street and plenty of restaurants around.

This was such a nice hotel! Extremely clean and the staff is very friendly. Check-in and check-out is super easy and staff is around to help with any questions. Will definitely be staying at another one of their hotels again!
