Ambrosea was a well pointed and very comfortable place for us to stay for a few days as we explored Salerno. Carmen and family were so attentive and helpful with making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The property is clean( functional, thoughtfully decorated, and beautifully maintained. There are a number of stairs to climb from the outside entrance to the entrance of the B&B (with no elevator) so be mindful of that if traveling with older or disabled persons. The view from our room was absolutely stunning and will be one I think of often. It is near the main road in Vietri and some really good restaurants. Only downside was that the street noise can be a bit loud early in the morning and the only property grocery store was not 15-20 min walk away.

Our room was beautifully presented with a “Juliet” balcony that provided a stunning sea view over the rooftops from its elevated position. The room was very spacious and benefited from a walk-in wardrobe. It was serviced each day and kept spotlessly clean. Our host was extremely pleasant and very helpful in arranging transport to our next destination. The continental-style breakfast was great with homemade cakes to die for. The only thing we felt the accommodation lacked was tea/coffee making facilities in the room. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at Ambrosea and would highly recommend it.

The breakfast was delicious and served in a bright room with a great view. The location was perfect and an easy walk to restaurants.
It is necessary to go up stairs to access the property, but unless that is a problem, AmbroSea is a great choice for Vietri, and Vietri is a charming little town as well.

Carmen's apartment is centrally located in Vietri Sur Mare. It is a short walk to restaurants, cafes, bars and ceramic shops. The view from the apartment is breathtaking regardless of the time of day. There is parking nearby, it is relatively easy to get to when you know how. The apartment is modern, bright and roomy.

Carmen is a great host, attended to all our travel needs during our visit to Amalfi coast. Hotel is cosy, newly renovated and clean. Very convenient location in the Amalfi coast with ferries connecting with other townships.

We had the most wonderful time! Carmen was the BEST host ever, the location was perfect and the place was stunning. This had to be the niced B&B I have ever stayed at, for all of these reasons. We could not have asked for more and would not only HIGHLY recommend AmbroSea, but hope to return!!!

Carmen’s passion in her B&B is evident and she went the extra mile ensuring our stay was perfect. Amazing breakfast and very helpful answering any and all questions. Will be back.

From meeting us to help with parking to checking us in, she assisted with everything including arriving in the morning with her mother to prepare breakfast. Access to the train is literally steps away using an elevator to the platform. Not recommended for digital nomads as WIFI was intermittent in our room. Overall, I strongly recommend this B&B if you prefer to stay away from the chaos that is Positano and Amalfi. The perfect imperfection that is Italy awaits you here at AmbroSea!

Carmen is an absolutely amazing host and a talented artist. The rooms and common areas are beautifully and meticulously decorated. The room windows and breakfast balcony have the most breathtaking view of the Vietri coast. The location, in the heart of Vietri, is ideally located near everything you'll want to see. Amazing stay!

Carmen was super helpful. She gave us suggestions for restaurants and help with train and ferry schedules. Her property was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was great.

The view from the room was beautiful. When we arrived at the train station in Salerno, we had no idea that there was a lift from the station down into town and the property. We dragged our luggage down to Ambrosea and was told that we were instructed about the lift via What's App - an app that I hadn't used for years. Only one key was given per guest which meant that we couldn't leave the property individually. All of the lights were on a timer controlled by the same card that was your key. There was no way to "turn" lights on or off as necessary. Incorrect information was given regarding ferries, etc.,.
Overall, a very disappointing bed and breakfast.

I have been a little slow getting this review out, but if you are looking for a great place to stay while in Vietri Sul Mare, Ambrosea Amalfi Coast should definitely be a consideration. Don’t let the exterior fool you, inside you will find a fully modern mini hotel consisting of three different room options–Selene, Aphrodite, and Iris. We booked Iris as our homebase for a week of relaxing combined with day trips out of Vietri and couldn’t have been happier. Carmen along with her mother were such wonderful and welcoming hosts. They went above and beyond to make our stay a joy (not that we require a lot, we are’t hard to please).
The doors to the small balcony provided and fantastic view of the town and the sea from the top of Vietri. The rooms are bright, clean, and comfortable. There is a also continental breakfast provided each morning, prepared by Carmen and her mother. I will note that Carmen is a trained chef and offers cooking classes and gourmet dinners among other things. We decided upon a dinner prepared by Carmen and were presented with a delicious tour of traditional Campania dishes accompanied by an excellent wine from the area. We were sad to have to return home, but we will definitely return in the future. I highly recommend trying out Ambrosea if you are in the area and want a great B&B. You won’t be disappointed.
