Friendly staff, location, comfortable beds. The hotel was on the high street with war of access to pubs and shops. NCP parking was close by and only £6.95 for 24hours

The coffee machine needs updating/fixing? Breakfast was okay, would be nice to have the option of a cooked breakfast

When we were looking on booking.com I filtered swimming pool and restaurant in hotel, this hotel came up. My son was elated thinking it had a swimming pool at the hotel. My husband and i were happy with a restaurant that we wouldn't have to leave. But no pool and no restaurant at the hotel. The breakfast in the morning was terrible. The coffee maker machine didn't work, no sign to say it wasn't. The cold breakfast was awful. The pancakes were freezing and rubbery. The Croissants tasted bitter. Not a good nights sleep with the music at the clubs until 3am. It was just disappointing. It's the first time we've used booking.com in years that I can say we are disappointed.

Location

Shower head was broken and had to hold it. Obviously previously reported as broken connection was not present. Breakfast was continental as the extractor fan was broken in the kitchen. Car parking is premium and the hotel should look at gaining discounted spaces for visitors. Everywhere is mainly permit or resident parking with many vacant spots.

Clean big room. Very spacious and layout thought through.

The hotel poor administration. They started the hotel recently having a private club operating just under the building without making the rooms on that side sound proof. When I complained they LIED to me. The reception called a pub at the opposite side of the hotel and he mentioned that he sorted the issue. WRONG . The music was playing until 4:30 in the morning. From the club below and not the one just below. I feel sorry for the business as they will learn the hard way. Customer satisfaction and good references are very important for a start up like they are. They can not fool people for a long time. In my case, what bothers me more is the way they handled the incident. They LIED to me ...by pretending they try to solve the issue. Money come and goes. Reputation stays.
