"A Great Escape" it truly is!! This amazing four-bedroom oceanfront duplex is located on the quiet shores of North Topsail Beach. Sleeping up to 10 people, this home is ideal for medium sized families or groups of friends. Just imagine sitting on the back deck listening to the ocean and having the convenience of walking to the beach on your semi-private beach access, shared only with the other side of the duplex. “A Great Escape” is a duplex with a mirror property next door “Almost Heaven”. Together they can sleep 18!!!

All our vacation rentals include fully equipped kitchens, basic small appliances (microwaves, coffee makers, toasters), pillows, comforters/bedspreads, television(s) and more!
Please note that unless otherwise indicated above, linens are not provided during your stay. You are welcome to bring your own linens, or we provide a linens rental service for your convenience. Our vacation homes are not guaranteed to have consumable items in stock for guest use (i.e. toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc.).

**Cancellation: Any cancellation of a confirmed reservation must be made in writing by Guest. Reservation payments are not reimbursable unless the property can be re-rented for the same rate and time period. Every effort will be made to re-book the property. If property is re-rented, Guest will receive reimbursement of payments made less non refundable reservation fee, cancellation fee (varies by property), and third-party fees (travel insurance, security deposit alternative, insurance, convenience fee, etc.). Insurance fees shall not be reimbursed unless the Agent is reimbursed by the issuing insurance company.
**Check In Day: *Your rental home allows you to check-in directly at the property. Check-in typically becomes available BETWEEN 4:00 - 6:00 PM on the day of your scheduled arrival. As soon as we are notified your rental is ready for check in, we will send you a text message to the number you previously provided. This text will include a hyperlink that will direct to the Property Guide with all your check-in instructions, directions, FAQ's, Wifi info, helpful tips, and most importantly your information on how to gain access to the property. Please understand that all homes must be cleaned and inspected before we are allowed to issue access details and you are not allowed to be at the property until you have received that text message.
**Early check-ins and Late check-outs must be pre-approved and are not allowed if there is a reservation checking out the same day another reservation is checking in. You may contact us the week of your arrival to determine if there is any availability to add an early check in or late check out. There is a fee associated with early check ins and late check outs.

I know this property is no longer listed on VRBO, and that’s good. It’s in need of significant repairs, updates and replacements. This is a “pet friendly” rental with carpet!! The smell of old urine is disgusting and we couldn’t let my grandson crawl on the floors at all, even the tile floors in the kitchen, living room and bathrooms is cracked and crumbling in many areas. This 4 bedroom house sleeps 10, but only has 7 forks available to eat with. I’ve never been so disappointed with a VRBO rental in my life, and I’ve rented dozens of times through the years.

The house was run down and needs items repaired. Door lock is rusted and we had trouble getting in. Both sliding doors are locked with boards in the gutter and the downstairs door can be opened. Rain comes in under doors.
Pots in cabinet were greasy and dirty. Nails are lifting on the deck. Outside water on deck handle is rusted and broken. Bathroom drains take a long time to empty. Under kitchen sink smelled terrible and had to be cleaned. Refrigerator smelled bad.
The location is great and the beach was very nice. This is an old house that just needs some tender loving care. Old is one thing, but unsafe is not acceptable.

We were very happy with the property we had plenty of room.I’m glad there was only eight of us and not 10, because they wouldn’t have gotten a bedroom!! Needs some updating or fixes but all in all very enjoyable!! Would revisit this property!!

Excellent location. Great house for large groups. But desperately in need of better upkeep. Peeling paint and trash under deck and overall run down condition of property were disappointing. Minimally equipped. (example: no broom or mop- how can you not have a broom at a beach house?) it was adequate - just not special.

The house was nice, we hadn't realized it was a split house, meaning it was two separate rentals in one, (one on one side and one on the other). There was only one thing that was that was negative about the experience, we killed two cockroaches while we were there in the house, they were the only two that we had seen. Maybe they are more common in the area there or something, other than that it was a great location, great house and great experience. I would definitely do it again. The house was clean so I'm assuming the cockroaches are more common in that area so I'm not giving it a negative review for that.

We enjoyed our long weekend at the house. The house was well maintained and had the equipment needed (coffee pot, kitchen utensils, etc). We loved that the beach was just off the walkway attached to the deck. We would definitely stay again!

My boyfriend Steve & I loved the rental. We were right on the beach with the ocean breeze & view from the house.
The house was clean, modern, spacious & beautiful.. We will be back!!! 😊
