Lovely hosts and a very sociable atmosphere created at this beautiful and grand house, Breakfast was delicious. The gardens made a great view from my bedroom window. Fresh milk for my cuppa was one of those little extras that make a difference.

I passed some beautiful and very grand bedrooms. I'm not complaining as the bed was comfy however, the room I stayed in was only small. It still had everything I needed but I'd be tempted to see if one of the grand rooms was available if I return... I was in the area for work and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Charles and Charlotte couldn’t have been more welcoming. The house is beautiful as well as being comfortable . The breakfast was superb .

Couldn’t fault it

We liked the seclusion of the village. Nothing was too much trouble. Good selection of breakfast, which was served in the cosy, country kitchen. Luna, the owners dog, gave us a lovely welcome every time we arrived back at the property.

If you don’t like company, maybe it isn’t for you, as at breakfast you are sat in the kitchen with other people on a long table. You can ask for separate sittings.

The breakfast was excellent and lovely hosts. The room was excellent but a few too many stairs with anyone who has mobility issues. A lift would be a good plan and ramp access. Beautiful grounds and quiet location.

Huge tastefully decorated bedroom. Good example of an old English Manor House with very pleasant accommodating owners.

Our hosts were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, but at the same time, made us feel totally relaxed and at home.

Fantastic owners. Welcomed by Charlotte and lively dog luna. Shown to our room and offered tea in the drawing room with biscuits. Nothing was hurried and breakfast time on Sunday was flexible. Granola was homemade and delicious.soda bread was offered with a sensational english breakfast. Met with charles the next morning for great conversation and speedy efficient checkout
