Executive 15th floor. Amazing view.

The location was great! Beautiful view. Staff was very friendly and responsive. We discovered that our toilet was broken when we first arrived; they responded within 1/2 and fixed it.

I was on the 20th floor and it was very noisy. Noise was water through pipes and other building noises not related to guests. This made it difficult to sleep. Bathroom door was very difficult to open and heavy. At times, I was afraid I was going to get stuck.

Room was not clean, toilet & shower didn’t work properly.

Slightly dated rooms. Stayed on the 20th floor, with a great view, but by 9 pm, dance music started, seeming to come from an adjoining room. It turns out that a wedding was taking place on the 22nd floor and the noise was so loud that we had trouble falling asleep. By 23:00, we had called reception twice and they finally managed to bring the noise down, due to the excessive number of complaints. Restaurant for breakfast was overcrowded. We waited in line for 30min and when we realized it would be another 20 min, we ended up buying a coffee and a croissant from a coffee stand besides the entrance. It turns out that in Ottawa, on a Sunday morning, brunch restaurants don’t open before 11:00. Not the hotel’s fault, but maybe something could be done to accept more customers, at a faster pace. Quite pricey! It aims to be a high end hotel, but at 650$/night with all the fine print taxes included, it’s quite a bite to chew!

Bath accessories like shower gel, shampoo, body lotions, and conditioners were very nice. Room cleaning was very satisfactory. Basketball was enjoyable. Access to the mall next door is definitely convenient. Stuff at the restaurant were very hospitable.

1. Staff at the reception needs better training to handle rush. Saturday, most likely the hotel was full and the reception area looked like a railway platform, without enough places to accommodate checking-in guests. 2. Although I had made full payment for my room reservation, the checking-in person double charged me without checking with me. 3. Room was not ready by 2 pm and I was told to wait at the reception with my 2 kids. We travelled from Toronto in via Rail and were tired. Very unceremoniously after waiting for almost an hour, we were handed over the room access cards and that's all. It felt like "wam, bam, thank you mam". Very unwelcoming. 4. Room needs to be spruced up. There were cracks and holes. 5. Breakfast menu is very ordinary. Didn't feel like serving cosmopolitan international guests. 6. Some Swimming pool is too small.
