It did the job, we had a place to stay in a beautiful part of the world. The room was fair, had a mini fridge, everything was clean, nice view from the window.

there are no amenities, make sure you bring everything you need and if you are LATE - make sure you eat first or bring food, there's nothing much around. NO BEACH access anywhere (but great view).

Great location on the Cabot Trail with beautiful views from the rooms and sturdy Adirondack chairs. I was especially grateful to the staff for help in taking care of an issue I had, they were very accommodating!

Location on water was beautiful.

Although there is not much owners can do about bees… there was quiet literally a massive bee infestation on the Apple tree next door to our building and they were flying into our room when we opened the doors going in and out. Although this normally isn’t an issue my partner is anaphylactic to bees so this impacted our stay. Also beds were quiet loud and furniture was quiet dented and chipped

Location.

The motel was old. Room was small. Furniture needed to be changed. Water pressure was terrible. I had experienced hot and cold water as well as no water running at all during my shower.

the location was ocean front so every room had an ocean view with outdoor furniture to bask in the sun. It was also very close to some very good dining options like the seagull restaurant and the bean barn cafe for an all day breakfast. rooms were small but very functional. Of course, it depends what you call home, but for most people, there is nothing here to write home about. This review refers to the motel and not the cottages. Good things first. The location, Ingonish, is fine because it is just outside of the national park (you need a permit to get to the motel, but I guess you will need one anyways as you most likely are visiting the park). It’s right off the main road, which fortunately doesn’t have much traffic at night, so from that point of view, not an issue. The wifi is reasonable fast outside of “rush hours”. There is a fridge in the room that works well and is reasonably quiet. The windows seem newer and of good quality.

Now the not so good: The rooms are very small and basic and in need of a renovation. The drywall in our room had holes. There is, of course, a heating system in the room, but programming it is not straightforward. Cooling comes in the form of a ceiling fan. In one of our beds, we found three long hairs that certainly didn’t belong to us. Talking about the beds, they are as uncomfortable as they are cheap and loud. With every movement, there is a squeaking noise. To make things worse, not only do you hear your bed, you also hear your next door neighbour’s bed make the same noise (even in the absence of them performing any special “acrobatics”), which also speaks to the sound proofing between rooms (or better the lack thereof). The faucet in the washroom must have the smallest clearance over the rim of the sink that we have ever seen, you can’t get your toothbrush underneath without touching the wall of the sink (it takes a moron to design something like that, but also one to buy and install it). So, by now you should know if we would stay there again next time or not.

Great location, great views

Gutters completely clogged, water pouring on the porch; couldn’t figure out how to turn on the room heat , the fellow at the front desk was completely unable to help so we were cold all night.

Exellent location, amazing ocean view, comfortable bed and clean room, a bit small, but equipped with everything we needed, fridge, microwave,coffee and coffee maker ......price is reasonable in that area. Definitely recommend!

Room is clean, bathroom is clean, very basic amenities but it's good. Overall is good experience since we stay only for 1 night. I love the body wash and shampoo dispenser. It makes eco-friendly.

The bed is noisy. No A/C but when the window is open we can feel the sea breeze. So it's not really a big deal for us since we came on late September.

The view!

The room was extremely small. The beds were very squeaky. Felt like we were sleeping on plastic. The fridge had not been defrosted a long time. Would not recommend this place.
