Location, familiarity, low key but comfortable atmosphere.

Halls could’ve been cleaner, but room was exceptional!

I couldn't get the attention of the staff so I could check in. I went to dinner and came back a second time to get checked in, and it still took half an hour, even though nobody was in line. Staff was hard to come by. Disruptive guests were bellowing in the lobby area, "partying" and milling about in a large group as if at the bar, during my second attempt to check in. It was difficult to hear the staff over the yelling. The staff member agreed that their behavior was disruptive. "These kids..." (They were mostly young adults in their 20s). A young woman was wandering around the entrance on the day I left, acting strange and talking to herself. She appeared to be under the influence of drugs. When I checked out an hour later or so, I saw her being loaded into an ambulance.

Clean and good customer service

Staff was great and room was clean. We like the area in the lobby to meet others staying there.

We've been here a few times over the years. It just seems to need a refresh.

It was no fault of the hotel. There was a Tornado earlier in the day before we got there. There were power lines down all over the parking lot. No phones, no electricity. I walked around the down lines to the lobby because we had prepaid. They told us they had no way to confirm anything and that all servers were down. All the hotels in the area were already booked and we had to go to the next town. They had been. hit too, but we got lucky and got the last room they had at the Ramada Limited in Decatur IL. We are still waiting to see about our refund

the location was convenient from highway, it was very clean and the breakfast was very good.

The location was perfect. It was right off the highway and close to the movies and restaurants.

The hot tub had hair in it and didn’t look clean so I didn’t use it.

I was not prepared for how overall bad Springfield looks. I did not feel safe in the downtown area so I was really glad my daughter and I stayed at this property away from downtown. I felt safe and the property is well-staffed, clean and bright. We were there for a sports tournament that was held downtown so we were only 10 minutes away from downtown. The staff is well-trained and helpful. We got a great restaurant recommendation right down the street.

Our room was on the 2nd floor and right outside our window was rooftop industrial equipment. We checked in at night so I didn't see it until the next morning. At that point we didn't feel like moving. I would've preferred to be on a higher floor.
