The location was good.

The toilet on the floor above us leaked through our ceiling into our bathroom. No one came to fix us, offer us an alternate room, or refund us.

Room: I appreciated having a mini coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge in the room. It was also good to have the full length/size (open) closet area and hangers. Breakfast: We previously stayed at Pacific Coast Roadhouse when it was a Best Western property. Breakfast at that time was very good and filling as it included scrambled eggs and sausage along with an oatmeal option. Breakfast this time was OK: Biscuits and gravy (instead of eggs and sausage) and oatmeal were the hot options. Walnuts were a nice touch (alongside raisins and brown sugar options) to go with the oatmeal. The "standards" were still there and appreciated: Milk and alternative (good oat milk); orange juice; bagels and sliced breads; cereal options; peanut butter packets and assorted jam packets; chilled cream cheese packets, fruit cups, and yogurt. The coffee was good.

Breakfast: It would be great if breakfast could include eggs and bacon or sausage again, instead of the biscuits and gravy. Shower: Unfortunately, the hot water comes and goes.

We did not much interaction with the staff, but when we did it was very positive. Rooms were very clean and spacious. A/C, refrigerator and television all worked great. Bed was very comfortable. We had breakfast at the Big Sur restaurant which is directly in front of the hotel. Our room on the second floor had just been renovated. Balcony was nice. Spent two nights.

I know the owners are trying really hard to upgrade everything. The little things I noticed that needed to be improved were mostly finishes. Painting was a little slipshod and the rusty vent at the entrance hall mechanical room door needs to be replaced, just because it is the first thing you see when you enter the interior corridor to get to your room. The owners were upgrading the lower level rooms at the time we were there but they kept everything very quiet. The "ocean view" is across Highway 1 and over the facing hotel.

The heater switched on and off every few minutes and was loud, waking us up all night

Disappointed in the room, the hallway smelled like weed, and the room was as well. We asked to have the sheets changed out, and they didn't.

Quiet and peaceful along Highway 1.

Feels a bit tired, could do with a refurb.

Breakfast as very good with variety and choices each day. A big bonus for the price of the motel.

I have no negative comments.
