Loved the location and view of the ocean. The staff were great the whole week. Room was perfect size.

The beds were not comfortable. Staff came in the room and cleaned while we were sleeping.

It wasn’t up to date, everything was spaced out. The pools, arcades etc.

The hot tubs had so much bleach in them without proper ventilation at the sand dunes property that kids were throwing up and coughing into the hot tubs and the towels were really little and thin. The whole place is under construction and there's caution tape everywhere.

The beds linens were like sand paper and had stains on them.

The property was filthy and crawling with bugs. In the sink, on the floor, behind the bed…everywhere. The elevators were broken the entire time. The couch looked like a murder had taken place on it. The smell was awful. Gave me the worst headache.

The indoor pool area was very filthy. Bugs and dust bunnies covered the floors, cockroaches and spiders in the floor creases, the fans that help ventilate the area are rusted and has not been dusted in looks like almost 5 years. The inner edge of the pool/hot tub has caked up scum. I see one person vacuuming the outdoor pool in the mornings but fail to notice the dark brown scum caked in there as well. It’s bad enough when people start writing things on it. Oh and those hard beds really have to go. Waking up every morning with back pain was unreal. I will have to start bringing my own blow up mattress next go around. Oh, and the constant smell of marijuana. 🤢

I did not the lady how was on the front desk the she was talking to us. She was very rude. We took more than two hours before we was signed in because they said we booked two rooms of which we booked three rooms closer to each other. And there gave one room fourth floor and the two third floor. Next day they told they switch the fourth to the third floor which it did not happened. When we got to the room they told us is room on third floor it was not opening and other one on fourth floor was not opening. Which took us two hours before the solve that problem calling maintenance and management. House keeper were no where to found. The money I paid $5000 was not worth the care we was receiving. There’s more vacation resorts over there with good care my friend referred me e.g Landmark and others don’t think about North Shores. If you want to try just book you will regret.

The hotel was very close to the beach.

We were unable to check in at 4pm. The clerk said the housekeeping staff were behind. There were several families waiting to check in. The bathroom had hair in the tub. The clerk told us that we needed to bring our dirty towels back down to the desk in order to get clean ones.

The resort was clean and most of the staff were friendly. There was a spa on site for manicures and pedicures. The pool was also good size and very clean.

The beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Our backs hurt every day.

Building, furniture, elevators OUTDATED! Took 20 mins to get to our floor since the two elevators move slowly. Walked into our room to find small full size beds attempting to be queens. Most uncomfortable mattress that make creaking sounds as you roll over. The linen/ blankets were a joke. Tiniest bathroom and room I had ever seen. Looks as if a slum lord owns this property because there appears to be no updates since the building was built a 100 years ago. Pictures online are deceiving, photoshopped because they didn’t look like the pictures online. Don’t let me get started on the waterpark that doesn’t have the large water slides they shown in the picture. When a guest asked the staff about the large slides they seen in the picture they were told it belonged to the hotel next door. Mind you, we don’t have access to that waterpark. Let’s talk about safety. My 1 year old grabbed the door handle inside in our room and was able to completely open the door. The locked feature didn’t even work. No once came to our room to to bring new linen, towels, and toiletries. We were instructed to take the elevator that takes forever to the lobby and asked for those items. Our room phone didn’t even work. If we need new towels we had to bring our old towels down. We were instructed to take our own garbage out. The laundry machines who were located next door was a joke. My local laundry mat has more updated machines. I was speculate to use it since I had to put quarters in but was sure if it would stop working in the middle of the cycle. Breakfast is NOT included. Had to go to the next hotel to purchase breakfast which was delicious. Oh when you arrive and get your room cards, you will find a fancy love note from the hotel to let you know it’s a limited service hotel. They need to write that on their page!

The location was great.

Check-in was a very long process. I arrived at 5p.m.. The arcade area closed at 6p.m., but it is advertised as closing at 8p.m., so my kids were not able to enjoy that. The waterpark was also advertised as closing at 6, yet closed at 6. The bathtub in my room would not drain. There was no one at the front desk to address the issue. For 2 days, no one came. I had to go to the hotel next door to let someone know about the bathtub. That person moved me to a different room on the last night of my stay around midnight. There were 3 men at my door to check a cable in the room, the second morning of our stay. I had no prior knowledge of this. The on site restaurant seated me and my kids. There was no umbrella for the table, so I just asked to be moved to a different table. The waitress brought our drinks and we placed our order. My kids ordered cereal and one grilled cheese sandwich. We sat for an entire hour as the wait staff completely ignored us, all while serving every other table large platters of food. No one ever came back to our table. I went inside to ask about our order and was ignored again for another 20 minutes. Someone finally came to the front desk and he told me he would not charge for the drinks I ordered. They said nothing about our food or why we did not receive it. I had to go back to my room and get my keys to drive my kids somewhere else to get breakfast. There was a lot of remodeling going on, so the onsite salon was not open, the convenience store had been moved next door. I also witnessed the workers painting the concrete at the outdoor pool during business hours. So there was wet paint on the ground while people were in the pool. The indoor pool had so much chlorine, it literally burned my kids eyes and they were not able to breathe(my youngest has asthma). I attempted to wash clothes at the onsite laundry room. The ATM was out of service, so I could not get cash or change to use the washer and dryer. Not sure if I will return.
