Hotel is clean and staff is always friendly. We can always count on HIE having decent rooms.
Price is a little high for this time of year. The water from the shower head sucked! Double the time to rinse.

The rooms were clean. The motel was in a great location.
We did not have any hot water from the day we arrived
They posted that they were having a problem with the hot water system on a second day of our stay. We asked to leave after three days because the current manager lied to me and told me they had fixed the problem. I left the water running in our shower for 15 minutes, and the water never got warm. The manager told me it must be just my room. I went into the men's restroom next to the front office and let the hot water faucet run for 15 minutes, and the hot water never got warm. We checked out.

Breakfast was good. It was the standard group of items that you would expect at a Holiday Inn Express.
The TV in my room was missing the transmitter for the cable tv.

Location was excellent. Breakfasts were perfect, yoghurt and coffee and fruit. And the cinnamon rolls were to die for!
Too much plastic and styrofoam.

There was absolutely NO hot or even warm water for my shower. Very poor experience. I had to take a sponge bath with very tepid water from the sink fixture. Very poor , inferior experience. I even let the water run for sometime, hoping it would get better. Obviously, that made the situation worse.

Second visit this year to this inn. Staff is well trained, very courtesy and breakfast is very good. Rooms are comfortable. Good access to all of Manhattan.

Rooms were clean, beds very comfortable and breakfast food was awesome.
When we checked in, my credit card was requested for incidentals. I happened to check it while we were there for 4 days and our card had been charged for another room that we did not book. They were good about removing the charge but it should not have occurred. Also, there were loud, racing cars in the parking garage right next to the motel at night.

I don't understand why I keep getting put on a floor with families of screaming kids running in the halls and slamming doors. I just want to get a comfortable room to relax and get some sleep...common sense people!
Tv was not connected, couldn't reach the front desk.

Room was clean and comfortable. TV stations offered good variety to be able to watch NCAA tournament games. Close to plenty of restaurants and easy to navigate to where we needed to go in town.
Used to a humidifier, so room felt very dry. Woke up with red dry eyes and sinuses.

The bathroom shower curtain was torn and ragged. For the price you pay for a room everything should be in excellent condition!

the property and rooms were clean and very nice.
We booked a Queen Suite and when we checked in they told us they had several people stay over in the suites so they no longer get had any available. I was told they would talk to the manager to adjust my fees on Thursday, Friday and when I checked out Saturday they had not resolved the issue. I will have to call and speak to the manager and this has been a whole inconvenience. I will not be charged for a suite when I was downgraded because of their mistake.
also, the key cards are super sensitive and I had to have mine fixed numerous times a day. I knew other groups in other rooms that also had the same issue.
