Friendly Staff, clean room, short walking distance to restaurants and shops. They have Bikes you can check out and ride if you choose to do so. Very affordable room rates, compared to other hotels in the area.

Less noise, We could hear, some of the other guest in their rooms adjacent to ours. But did not affect us from having a good nights rest. But that's expected, when your in the city.

Central Location, kitchenette was a bonus, homely atmosphere and interesting vibe.

Jazz club across the road is loud late into the night and weed smells waft around constantly. Parking in an open lot at back of building is expensive and unexpected.

Friendly, cozy environment, exactly what you would expect from a boutique hotel, with microwave in room and full kitchen in the lobby area.

Original windows (not double glazed) so all street noise and music can be heard, but went quiet before midnight so was ok when sleeping.

Very comfy I liked you can use their Kitchen to cook . They also have bicycles to use

Heater wasn’t working

We were not comfortable walking outside at night. The lobby area was in poor condition and not clean. The stairs and hallways also were not kept well. The room was trying to be 'retro' but was closer to basic and outdated.

I loved how staff were nice, made us feel welcome. Bed was comfortable! Location was also a great plus

Nice location

The large stairwell up to the rooms was not mentioned in add. My husband needs a knee replacement so that wasn’t great, no lift. Biggest issue was we were not told we had to put a clean room sign out, also no sign was in our room, so on day 2 late in the day when I asked receptionist I was told it was my fault for not putting out sign, even though we didn’t have a sign, and I didn’t know about sign. Very disappointed.

Location of the hotel is nicely placed near the beach, downtown area, and numerous stores. The room we got was a double size bed and it was slightly bigger than what we expected for the price we paid as we went for their most discounted room at the time. Getting in and out of the hotel was easy using a code and our hotel room was accessed via a key.

Since our room is through a physical key, we did have to wait a bit for that key to be found. Luckily we parked on the street since it was cheaper to do so for us at the time ($1/hour from 8am to 6pm Mon - Sat) as we found out there was no more parking available at the hotel which I believe costs $18 or $20/night. Do keep in mind that street parking you can only park in a certain spot for certain amount of time before you need either move your car or add more to the timer.

i liked that it wasn’t far from the pike or the ocean . It was also very very home like and had shampoo,conditioner,body wash,hand soap and lotion not in cheap little soap bars but actual bottles.

The parking was kind of terrible since i decided to park on the street but you just have to get lucky with parking and finding someone who’s leaving

The location in Downtown Long Beach was great and the hotel was unique. The room was spacious and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful

the only downside was that we requested that the room be cleaned the second day and housekeeping did not clean it.

Honestly the front desk was amazing and so accommodating. They were amazing!! My only issue was the room size , smell and the fact that there were roaches in my room.

Staff were efficient in providing service, helpful, warm & welcoming towards guests. Homely & cosy ambience.

Some facilities not well maintained. Rooms are not sound-proof. Voices of people talking on the pavements can be heard through the night.

Uniqueness of hotel

Only suggestion I would make is please put a nightstand on both sides of bed.
