Victoria was lovely in every way and very gracious,curious and on hand if I needed anything.Will stay again.

A tad pricey but great location.

The property was a nice historic Victorian home. The room was very clean which was greatly appreciated & innkeeper was pleasant.

The room was cold during several portions of the evening/early morning & no additional blanket was in the room. Also I would expect that toiletries like tissues & a better grade of shampoo/conditioner & bath products would be available ( VO5 & a dollar tree bath gel). Hangers please the rack provided for hanging clothes had 2 flocked & 2 mangled dry cleaners wire hangers. The television had the most basic channels & didn’t offer the option to connect to Netflix, after several hours of driving we had hoped to relax & unwind watching tv. However, the most disturbing fact was that the photo copy of my license taken at check-in was not destroyed at the end of our stay. The owner indicated the copies of licenses remained in a secure box and are destroyed annually. Honestly had I known this was a policy I would have stayed elsewhere.

After staying in hotels previous nights in different cities, I really enjoyed ending my trip staying at the 1895 Washington Hotel. If given the choice, I would always rather experience a stay in a home setting rather than a hotel/motel. This place is great and very close to all the river commercial district too!

Gorgeous home.

We had a mother bird sitting on her nest in the corner of the porch and she chirped all night long.

House had a rather isolated feel on a very small lot. Small parking lot & commercial building directly across the street. Overall dimly lit. Maybe it would look better in the day time.

Tried to contact by cell on our way, but message went unanswered. Husband didn't like the feel of the neighborhood. arrived in the early evening, it was dark and raining. The area was rather dreary. Our first issue was with parking..a poorly lit lot across the street or on the street in front of the building. Had to contact manager (owner?) by phone from the stoop. Discussed our issues. She said she would come down when I called back and had unloaded luggage. I did and called her. I was ready to just stay, even though there wasn't a place to eat nearby. She was still upstairs while I was on the stoop (very worn out paint) and it's dark & raining. We had a lot of luggage, golf clubs, etc in our car and husband ultimately decided he didn't feel safe leaving it overnight so we left. Of course, we were informed there would be no refund, so even though we had paid, we were very uncomfortable with the area. Manager never did come downstairs.

Amazing place, very charming. The amenities were great and the room was impeccably clean. I will absolutely be staying here again!
