We liked the house, size of room, view of the Hudson river, enormous comfy bed and pillows, privacy as mostly we had house to self but relaxed mostly in our large room. Easy to drive there from outings up the river such as Storm King and Beacon Dia. We had our laundry done at local laundry shop and were able to park car in car park at back of house. Don Coquis restaurant was good too.

Probably could have booked somewhere further up river nearer to Storm King etc but that's not their fault! I found the AC very cold but could adjust on landing and they amended vent next day quickly.

The hostess was willing to go over and above what was expected to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The room and the surroundings were extraordinarily quiet, which was what we were looking for. There were plenty of nice attractions within an hour's drive.

We would have preferred a river view, but those rooms were taken, though this was a secondary consideration.

The house was BEAUTIFUL! Very chic yet comfortable. Very clean and well appointed kitchen as well with a lovely Continental Breakfast each morning. (Nutella pastries won me over!) My room was large, light filled and the bathroom was a DREAM! (Soaking tub and Rain Shower Head. Need I say more!) The location is a little hidden gem of a town with a lot of history and while I missed out on getting a proper Mexican Café con Leche at Vilma's I did enjoy the porch for some overdue down time since there are no televisions in the rooms. A plus in my book :)

I think a little more info about the area with regards to where to eat & also where to walk would be a nice addition. I know there are lot's of parks are there but I had to dig a bit online to find info. But I bet they don't want to junk up the place with paper pamphlets which I totally get.

So artistically designed! We loved the rustic yet modern theme of the interior design. So beautiful and memorable! I still remember all statues and paintings. Excellent taste! So wonderfully designed and maintained. High ceilings were also a plus, lots of light. Big spacious room (queen bed).

The bed was horrible. It gave me and my husband a backache both nights we slept on it. The bed “must” be changed asap. No other guest should have to sleep on that bed.

Casa Hudson is a unique property. If you are looking for beauty and style, this is the place. It is across the street from the Hudson, with views from most rooms. We stayed in the Blauvelt room on the occasion of our 40th anniversary and Andrea was so attentive. Staying at Casa Hudson felt like living in an art gallery, the works were spectacular and the design unique. Haverstraw is not a destination in and of itself but the surrounding area has hiking and other attractions. Highly recommend.

Andrea, our hostess, was great! Communication was flawless!

The neighborhood was vibrant (noisy).

The room was bright and spacious, it looked right out on the Hudson. We will definitely stay here again, and have already recommended it to friends. Check in was so easy and Andrea was super helpful!

Not that this is a negative but there is no TV in the room (or at least it is really well hidden) our stay was only for 2 nights and we wanted to explore the area but had it been longer the TV would have been appreciated.

The most beautiful location overlooking the Hudson River. Andrea and Nelson were just the sweetest people.
