We live in the Baix Ebre area of Catalunya, and decided on a mini break to the Provinica de Girona. Having visited the lovely city of Girona, we booked to stay in L’Estartit for the first time. We chose Hotel Nereida, based on location, size and previous reviews. A very warm welcome from staff on reception and our requests were met by the hotel. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel, the rooms are spacious, comfortable, bathrooms are well appointed with excellent shower pressure and plenty of hot water. TV and free WiFi everywhere. The rooms have air conditioning which we appreciated as it was quite warm. The pool area is beautiful and plenty of shade. Food and drinks at the hotel are great value. We stayed with breakfast included. No complaints from us on both hot and cold choices. The staff throughout have excellent customer service skills and we cannot fault the Hotel Nereida. Plenty of free parking in streets around the hotel, the beach and Paseo approx 200m from hotel. If you’re thinking of visiting this area, then Hotel Nereida is certainly worth staying at, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you to all who made our stay a pleasant one.

absolutely nothing to dislike

we arrived early after walking all day in the rain. we were allowed an early check-in in what seemed to be an upgraded room. great staff and excellent breakfast

We got a Genius room upgrade to a suite which was very comfortable, clean and with a fabulous bathroom. The breakfast good and plenty of choice.

We booked half board including dinner which I have say was okay but totally uninspiring. My main course, a small portion of steak a few chips and frozen garden peas. We thought it would have been a buffet. I would have given an 8 if the meal had been better.

Great breakfast with gluten & lactose free options. Located close to the beach and everything. We didn't have a chance to try pool because if the weather but it looked nice. WiFi worked great.

The walls are paper thin so it is a bit noisier but I guess that's a standard in a lot of places around this area.

Everything about the hotel was excellent, breakfast too. The restaurant was so good we went there both evenings.

The place is a dump. Room sold as being for 4 people. Room was obviously for 2 only.

The buffet breakfast was good. Despite finding a hair cooked in my egg.

My room was not re decorated. The room had a double and 2 singles set up and no where to walk. The beds were in front of the patio window and I had to squeeze my calf through to step outside. The patio was tiny and had the air conditioning unit on it so you were even hotter if the air on was on. The bath must had had 25 years of paint on it and the shower was pathetic at flow and controllable Temperature. The toilets in the restaurant were tired and the restaurant messy. The photos of the pool were very cleverly shot so not to show the local people living there balcony’s and their bits of broken things and washing. The cost was expensive and although two rooms. one for us and one for our 14yr and 12yr old daughters, we were on 1st floor and 3rd floor. so it wasn’t very close. I didn’t take any pictures of the room as I didn’t want to remember it. I wish I had for this review.

Pool area is renovated. Breakfast is very good with nespresso and good juice.

The rooms must be renovated, there are renovated rooms but they are more expensive. Bathroom is really old and a bit smelly.

Location is nice: not too far from the sea, but also in a quite place. Breakfast is pretty good: a lot of variable snacks and local meats are available.

Swimming pool is for 80% of time occupied by some strangers which do not accommodate in the hotel, which turns a main feature of this hotel into a flaw.
