The central position of rhe apartment was perfect for us, right on the sea front in the heart of the village, parking was not a problem for us as we parked directly outside on the road. The shop next door is amazing selling absolutely anything and everything and the owners are lovely people. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The cooker hob was adequate for us, a shame there was no oven.

The cupboard space was minimal and the refrigerator was tiny with just a tiny freezer compartment, it would have been far better with a proper free standing fridge/freezer to accommodate salads and meats etc, we are in the middle of our 7 weeks tour of the Pelion and therefore are carrying provisions from village to village and the storage in the apartment was simply unsuitable for our needs. The shower room was extremely small and due to the nature of the wash basin support gaining access to the w/c was extremely tight and anyone with ample statistics would find access difficult. We have been to Platanias many times before and always regarded it as a lovely sleepy fishing village but unfortunately extensive works are ongoing due to the project in making the harbour huge and the constant stream of huge lorries dumping thousands of tons of rubble plus huge cranes and bulldozers completed the picture from around 7.25 am and non stop until around 4 pm, after 5 days frankly we were glad to leave, such a shame that our holiday there was ruined.

Perfect place, very clean and extensive apartment, nice and humanity hosts!

There was nothing we didn't like

Location is great, very nice hosts, they even have a couple of kayaks (very pleasant surprise!)

A bit noisy (mainly the neighbours downstairs who thought it acceptable to play music at 12:30 am...). We were asked to change rooms and the new room had some issues - balcony doors didn't open and close properly, also no screen on the bathroom window and mosquitoes came through or we had to keep it closed.

Great location just in front of the beach. Platanias is a wonderful small village. The appartment is clean and big enough and the host is very kind and helpful. She took care of every issue we had very fast. Great value for the cost. Very recommended!!
