Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Staff were incredibly polite and accommodating. We were most amazed by the quality of food at the restaurant. We had dinner there twice. The soups were truly incredible showcasing the expertise and creativity of the chef who was approachable and keen to explain some of his cooking methods. Main courses were equally delicious and generous portions.

Dommage que le restaurant soit fermé le mardi soir mais il y a une petite ville très jolie à quelques kilomètres.

I think that hotel owners should think about whether they still want to offer their services through booking. Their reaction upon our arrival was disgusting and after the owner told us that the restaurant was closed for us /it was about an hour before closing time/ with the explanation that they were empty and that it was simply closed, we wanted to go somewhere else! Fortunately, the next day is usually brighter and the hotel's younger staff member was professional at breakfast and did a little to repair the tarnished reputation. We understand that we may have messed up the evening schedule, but I advise the owners to stop booking through booking.com because the reception was terrible. From an older lady and from a stronger man, who I don't even know who he was. Maybe a cook, but unfortunately we couldn't find out.

A beautiful hotel in a peaceful location but close to the motorway. An easy drive to Austrian ski resorts in under 4 hours. The hotel has an excellent restaurant which is very popular with the locals and which serves delicious evening meals and breakfasts. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed a visit to Schwabisch Hall and its surroundings. There is a large car park close to the front door and we were welcomed by our lovely host as we opened the car door. This is the place if you heading to Austria from UK.
