location was amazing with lovely views of the harbor. The apartment was very well equipped with everything we needed (except a cheese grater)

In hindsight I think it would have been better if we had been ground floor as we had 2 dogs but then we wouldn’t have had the lovely view.

Stairs,but that's down to us due to my girlfriends health we found it to hard to get to the room on the top floor, but when we stay again we will contact the land lady first and hopefully get a lower room,

Absolutely fantastic place to stay.

Location of the property was excellent and surprisingly quiet for how close it was to all amenities. There was a good general set up of all basic essentials in the kitchen and bathroom. Having a highchair and travel cot made available was extremely helpful. Beds were very comfortable and my children slept very well! Host was very responsive and allowed us an early check in 2 hours prior to what's stated on the website.

Parking was a nightmare as Ilfracombe is a very small but busy town. After travelling 4.5 hours it would have been less stressful if the property would have been able to offer a permit for a guaranteed space. (we have experienced this before in Whitby which made the trip a lot less stressful) it made us really consider whether we wanted to travel further afield and take the car out the car park as we also paid for a weekly charge. Parking in a different location I would have ended up having to pay further charges. Took us a little while to get used to the uneven floor in the apartment, particularly in the kitchen and we kept walking into the double bed and the glass table in the living room. (Not a great idea having the glass table and renting to families) but not really anywhere else we could move this to during our stay. The property wasn't cleaned to an exceptionally high standard despite mentioning COVID cleaning protocols. Dirty pots, food and dust on the floor, bathroom tiles not clean, even the welcome leaflet was sticky and dirty. Wi-fi didn't really work which wasn't helpful when there's 3 children wanting their tech during the evening on arrival back to the property. A very late check in for a family travelling with small children and lots of luggage. Would have been nice to see a guest book and more leaflets of things to do in and around the area. Overall we had a decent stay and it was nice to have a break.

Fantastic location, close to the harbour and town centre. The apartment was well-equipped and had plenty of room for a family of four plus our dog. The owner was very helpful when dealing with our initial internet connection problem. This was resolved quickly.

Location Views

Beautiful view over the harbour, only a 5 minute walk at most to the tunnel beach which is as far as we went . Everything else is on the doorstep. We contacted the council for a parking permit before our stay, £28 for the 5 days. The Hillsborough car park is about an 8 minute walk from the holiday flat but saves you a lot of money as parking is a problem in ilfracombe.( You can drop your bags off and then park up). Would highly recommend and will book again.
