I loved the architecture of this accommodation - it felt very Mexican. I’m grateful to the friendly staff member who found us a park for our rental car.

There’s no purified water tank for guests, so we had to buy several bottles of water each day. The location was pretty good but given the heat it would have been nice to be a couple of blocks closer to the main square.

The staff was great, the room was clean, close to the town center, free coffee all day, a nice pool, good breakfast.

As good as this place is midweek, you could not pay me enough money to stay here at the weekend again. Obviously not the hotel’s fault but unfortunately someone nearby seems to be preparing for a season as a DJ in Ibiza and from 8pm Saturday night until around 7am was blasting out incredibly loud music which prevented any sleep, and from reading some other comments this seems to be a common occurrence. Also there is no water refill station so be prepared to buy tonnes of plastic

Wonderful location, very clean and most of all the hospitality is exception Juan and the team are so friendly and helpful.

Staff are friendly and attentive. The welcome water and chocolates are much appreciated. The hotel itself is beautiful and off road parking was much appreciated!

We spent 3 weeks at Santa Ana and couldn't have asked for a better value for money experience. On request we were moved from a ground level room to the first floor to avoid being on the through way and found the room cool (during the hottest season), very clean and spacious. This is one of the most authentically Mexican hotels we have stayed at in Merida and we will return again for sure. The breakfast, lounge area and reception are very pretty and the staff attentive and helpful. The pool kept regularly cleaned and was a welcome relief from the excessive heat. Perfectly located for both Centro and Paseo de Monteo - explore the back streets to find lovely hidden away restaurants and bars. Thank you Hotel Santa Ana for a really enjoyable long stay visit.

Overall is it an old structure, the pool is narrow, not the cleanest hotel I’ve been during my Mexican Holiday.

Beds are nice, but a bit too small for me (1.30meter x 2.00 meter)

The Hotel Santa Ana staff - especially Juan and the rest of the front-desk hotel staff - are welcoming, knowledgeable and excessively kind. The front desk is staffed 24-7 and were an exceptional resource for navigating the city - including booking a rental car last minute. The dedicated personal service felt like an experience from a bygone era of hotels before airbnbs and self check-ins. The rooms are modest but adequate. The hotel is in a great location and perfect launching-pad for exploring the city and surrounding area. We enjoyed reading by the pool in the patio, the delicious made-to-order breakfast and free coffee. Would definitely stay here again!

Great value for money - large comfortable rooms. Very clean. Free coffee is available in the lobby at any time. The pool was good for cooling off after sightseeing all day. The best thing is the lovely staff though. Everyone was really friendly and helpful, especially Juan. We would love to stay again.

Not the hotel’s fault but one night the occupant of the house next door was playing very loud music from 1-8am. There was no way any one in the hotel could sleep through it. It finally stopped after the 2nd visit from the police.
