The apartment was very neat and clean. Lots of natural light with a wrap around balcony and great kitchen accessories. The African artwork is a nice colorful touch. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location is conveniently in between Playa Flamingo and Portrero.

First and foremost this place is so rundown, secondly it has huge ants crawling everywhere. There was a dog that continued to bark so annoyingly, and a rattle that was coming from the safe, that doesn’t even work. Also, this place has no warm or hot running water.. which was a huge bummer, who likes to shower in cold water?? we also got electrocuted by the shower head, which is so unsafe. the pool was dirty the entire time we stayed here. Seems like no one cares about this place.

Frederick and the staff are incredible! Always attentive and with a smile! They even played a game with my son :) The pool and the room were great, very clean and complete. The plants surrounding the pool and rooms are great for nature. We rested very well the days we had the pleasure to stay!

Beautiful grounds

The flat is big, the kitchen is well equipped, the WiFi and the AC worked perfectly. The place is quiet (we were 4) I don't know when it's full There is a convenient store 30m from the flat

This was the perfect place have a few nights stay after being on the road for two weeks. We bought groceries and took advantage of the fully stocked kitchen - including a blender for smoothies! The pool and our patio we perfect and Fredrick was the perfect host!

My only suggestion would be wine glasses but that’s my personal preference!

Busy road to walk to the beach

Lovely stay. Fantastic host that clearly loves the property and takes great care of it. Very peaceful and private, but a short ride to small neighboring towns with stuff to do.

The apartment has everything you need to have a confortable stay, full kitchen, a/c, plus the location is close to the best beaches (Flamingo, Conchal, Puerto Viejo). Frederick was the best, super nice and always helpful! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Apartment need a little more detail cleaning inside, like there were corners with spider webs, and also in the shower window. Landscaping is a little outdated but has a lot of potential. It has wifi but is weak, it could be improved.

A hidden gem not far from some of the best beaches in Costa Rica. Frederick has put together a great little haven of nine units and a oasis type pool. Lots of room, comfortable beds and chairs (that’s rarer than you would think in Costa Rica) and it’s right next to one of the larger markets in the area. Potrero beach is about 300 metres walk and Playa Flamingo (one of the nicest beaches in Costa Rico) is an easy 2 kilometres along flat roads (or you can walk along Playa Potrero). There are restaurants within a few hundred metres and Surfside, the marina complex and Brasalito are all within 2 kilometres. We also had a fun neighbour, Marta, a spiky tailed Iguana who was quite friendly and would come right up to you on our sitting area (on the ground floor). She wasn’t threatening or anything and would cock her head as if she was listening to everything you were saying. It was a bit intimidating at first as she’s quiet bold but she keeps her distance and just seems to like watching. A very charming spot all around.

As others have commented, it could be cleaner and we had a bit of a challenge with ants that we got under control in a few days by keeping everything spotless and keeping the organic garbage stored away tightly. The beds were great and the bathroom was fine and we’ve stayed in much worse places for cleanliness but it isn’t as good as it should be for sure. I’m a bit of a neat freak around the kitchens and bathrooms so kept them spotless and this quickly resolved the ant situation. The next guests shouldn’t have an issue but as with any first floor place in Costa Rica, if there are ANY residues or food sources, the ants will quickly find them and bring their friends. I mention this not to scare people off, we would definitely stay again and it wasn’t a big deal as a quick cleaning behind the appliances got out 90% of the problem but I do think more could be done to make it a perfect stay. The only other comment I have would be about the location. . We didn’t have a car and loved walking but some people might not like it in the heat as the sidewalks (paths) are close to the edge of the roads. It isn’t beach side (but then you aren’t paying for beachside either). If you have a car it would be extremely convenient and there are eight awesome beaches within a ten minute drive (or a five kilometre walk along the beaches). We would definitely stay again for a lot longer than the four days we did this time.

Complex was cute, close to great supermarket and Micheal the manager was really helpful and friendly.

Apartments quite dated, cooking grease splattered up kitchen wall. Complex overall quite messy and general noise from upstairs apartments easy to hear.
