Rocco, the host, was absolutely wonderful. We had a last minute change of plans and had to take the bus to Matera, and he was very gracious, generous, and kind in accommodating us and making it possible for us to get to the apartment. I cannot say enough about what a good person the host was. The property was exceptionally clean and very enjoyable to relax and rest in. The terrace overlooking the hills was a very nice.

Because we didn’t have a car, we relied on the bus to get to the Sassi from the host’s apartment. It is only 15-20 minutes to the Sassi, which is convenient, but the bus didn’t run on schedule from the bus stop nearby and there was one time we had to wait quite a while for a bus (however, the buses from the Sassi left right on time and we were back to the host’s apartment within 15-20 minutes).

Everything went fine. The host was very nice and helpful. It's a bot far from the center, but if you have a car it won't be a problem (5-10 min away)

Tranquillo e confirtabile.

The apartment was extremely clean and our host very welcoming. They lived in the same block and nothing was too much trouble. It was my birthday and they made delicious almond meringues for us which was a lovely touch. The fridge was well stocked with water, fruit yoghurt and there was plenty for breakfast. They also had a kettle and we like a cup of tea so that was appreciated. The bed was very comfortable.

It would be nice to have a comfy chair to relax in.
