We absolutely loved this hotel and did not want to leave! The staff are amazing, the hotel itself is beautiful and complete luxury! The room was amazing, the pool was an oasis and we loved the jacuzzi on the rooftop too. We were here as part of our honeymoon and it was so romantic, would recommend to any couples. Great location in walking distance from the main square.

In the last 10 years of travel, I honestly say it was the most overpriced and overrated hotel we have stayed at. The pictures make it look like a large luxurious yet Boutique Resort. In fact there is a small pool, slightly larger than a jacuzzi and there are a handful of rooms built around it on a very small property. There's no Fitness center, spa area, and nothing about this property was impressive, certainly not warranting a price that is at least three times more expensive for the same quality anywhere else in town. Any noise or party at the pool, is a party in your room noise-wise.
I believe our room gave us the impression that we were going to have a small terrace, we had the top category of room, there was no terrace.
The entire hotel is built in the shape of an L, around a small pool, and it's like an echo chamber for noise. Any noise made by guest or staff out in the common area or early in the mornings is also in your room.
The price certainly does not match the accommodation in this area.
The breakfast was a wonderful though.
Make sure that you negotiate breakfast, if you're paying above $350 a night for a small room. I definitely would not go with lower categories of rooms, we had a nicer room, but we saw that the lower categories were right beside the restaurant, and everybody in the hotel had to walk by those rooms, which I can only imagine would be even louder than our room.
This isn't a resort, there is no land, no real private place to relax, like some less expensive places around this area. It's not on or super close to the lake.
Again, I have a hard time thinking of a hotel where we felt more underwhelmed and more disappointed in this price range for an area that simply doesn't warrant luxury prices.

Everything was out of this world! ESPECIALLY the people working at the hotel. The chefs, the servers, the housekeepers, the groundskeepers and the concierge were all lovely and unforgettable. They went out of their way every single day to make sure we were comfortable and had an out of this world time in Valle de Bravo.

service was fantastic. the hotel upgraded our room, free of charge. food at nuestro was amazing and could be ordered to the room. we really liked the cocktails as well! would definitely stay here again!
there are no spa services on-site. you have to travel to their sister hotel about 25 minutes away. we definitely want to try their spa packages because everything was so great at la casa rodavento. next time we will try staying at rodavento hotel boutique & spa!

The attention of the staff was good
The hotel was empty (full room availability).
They gave me a room with no window just at
the entrance next to the vallet parking.
Noise started at 6:30 AM (Car parking and
people walking).
I did not feel comfortable at all with the
treatment which is not at the level of what the
hotel claims

- The hotel is extremely well located, in the center of Valle de Bravo but, at the same time, protected from noises. It is like a little oasis.
- The hotel is very beautiful and comfortable. It has a pool and a jacuzzi on the rooftop.
- Our bedroom was outstanding: the hotel offered us an upgrade without additional coast, which was something above our expectations.
- Staff is full of nice attentions and made our stay in La Casa Rodavento exceptional.
Our overall experience has been above our expectations.

Nice bathroom, great bed and linens and towels. Good location
There was noisy construction happening in the hotel during the day. At breakfast the waiter dropped off my food and never came back to even offer me more coffee. Then I was overcharged for the room on my 2nd night; I emailed & called the hotel several times and they never refunded my money. Jacuzzi roof not lit at night, no towels, no service. The staff are not well trained. All this negatively impacted my stay. What a shame.

The Hotel opens up to a lush garden, with a fine restaurant, a pool and jacuzi section with a wonderful view to the cathredal and the lake. Excellent service, an oasis of tranquility.
Nothing to add here.

Amazing location a walking distance to restaurants and the main square. Beautiful hotel with a lovely pool and jacuzzi, spacious and comfortable room and very helpful staff who helped us arrange activities including paragliding and boating. You can also use the facilities at the sister hotel where more activities are available but sadly we didn’t have enough time to try !
Everything was amazing

It’s an amazing place. Everything is thought of well. It is almost as if they asked for the ‘Perfect’ spot and they
made it happen. Amazing architecture. Excellent service. Great overall experience. Wow!
Having to leave in 2 days…

Nice place with character, great design, rooftop and jacuzzi are magical. Restaurant overall is excellent. Great decor - super comfortable - and the bathroom was just gorgeous. Hot water takes a bit to heat up but it gets very hot and there is excellent water pressure. All spa products in the bathrooms, which I like because they are high quality and this is better for the environment than disposable mini toiletries. Friendly service, especially at the restaurant. Very clean. A few hiccups but the manager, Diana, did her best to resolve them which we appreciated. Fantastic location - super central, yet quiet.
Know before you go - because of Covid restrictions, a maximum of two guests at a time can use the pool or jacuzzi. We arrived on a Friday afternoon to discover the Saturday pool times had already been fully booked - there are not enough pool times to accommodate all guests if the hotel is fully booked. Many people don't actually show up for their pool reservations, and the result is that that area mostly remains empty. If using this is something important to you, message ahead of time to reserve (and if you decide you do not need the time later, please be kind enough to cancel your reservation). Overall we found it strange since it was an outdoor pool, guests were not required to wear masks anywhere in the hotel (to the point where I felt weird when I did wear one), and frankly the type of clientele frequenting this hotel are people from DF who flew to the US to get vaccinated as soon as it was possible. We had the impression that these policies were made by a managerial board and not by the on-site management, which seemed to have its hands tied.
Overall the food is truly excellent, but stay away from the seafood dishes. The seafood is fresh, brought in from Mexico City - so maybe the freshness gets lost due to all the traveling. Both the fish and shrimp we had were bad - frozen shrimp would have been better.
Nice Nespresso machines in the room - too bad they use off-brand (Costco?) coffee pods, a strange flex for such a nice hotel.
Wifi did not work in the room first night. Router remotely reset, which allowed streaming on the TV at least, but we still were unable to get internet on our iPhones in most parts of the room during our entire stay.
Personally we prefer the Hotel Rodavento which is a bit outside of town, but if you want to be central, Casa Rodavento is an excellent option. We visited Cinco Rodavento during our trip, which is closer to the lake, and found Casa Rodavento to be much nicer.
