All the service staff were excellent. They took pride in their work. Thumbs up.

The ambience and the surrounding nature was superb.

Everything is inside Datai. You don't have to step out for anything. The food was delicious. It is better than Ritz. Best beach in langkawi and there is no hotel or resort in 10km radius so it is very private. The breakfast spread is huge and the beds are so comfortable.

Booking of restaurants has to be done well in advance.

Everything; the beautiful surrounding, the hospitality received. This is by far the best resort I've stayed. If you're looking for peace and tranquility away from the busy city, here's the place.

The Datai are great in avoiding single use plastic in and around their property but need to advocate more on this in the wider community and address the source of the rubbish being washed ashore on the beach otherwise it will undermine the magic of this place. Music at breakfast could be a bit quieter.

The only one thing I would improve is for the adult pool to be colder, as it did seem like I was in a hot bath instead.

ants literally everywhere in the villa even on the bed. restaurant quality is far from the fine dining prices they charge.

An important issue was not addressed namely that Booking.com and The Datai do not advertise correctly. We have been cgoing to the Datai since 2008 and whilst usually booking directly - had used Booking.com which confirmed our booking of a canopy room "overlooking the tropical landscape". As we had stayed in exactly such a room in 2022 on the first level which is the top level, we were very surprised the room was actually nearly all the way down on the 3rd level down. This false advertising really needs to change and has to be specific. The English language is quite clear so do not use overlooking the landscape if you there is no landscape to overlook on lower floors. We stil would like a confirmation that this is going to be followed up on.

Amazing service; staff were incredibly obliging and friendly. Breakfast was superb with great variety and high quality food. Beach was really lovely; private; with soft sand and the sea at the bay was calm to swim in.

The whole resort is absolutely beautiful. The greenery in the jungle, the flora and fauna. Extreme calmness and relaxation. Our beach villa was exceptional and majestic. Our butler Shan went above and beyond his duties. Always one step ahead. I can't begin to explain the wonderful service, the setting, the food and onen you cannot miss The Spa. The beach was warm and inviting. Please don't miss out on the restaurants at the resort. The walks around the resort are relaxing and watch out for the monkeys. This would have to have been the best getaway in Malaysia.

I found the staff at the restaurant for brekky were great. The only thing that was missing was Vegemite, however they went to the trouble to find a replacement very quickly, Marmite.
