Para aquellos que prefieren caminar, ¿por qué no dar un paseo por el pintoresco pueblo de pescadores de Benagil con su pequeña cala de arena y dese un capricho con excelentes restaurantes de pescado, todo a unos 20 minutos de distancia. Los parques acuáticos, equitación, golf (Milho, la Pinta y Gramacho a unos 10 minutos en coche), vela y otros deportes acuáticos se encuentran a poca distancia. Perfect villa, beautiful pool area. Furniture a bit outdated, but everything in the villa worked and utensils, cutlet, crockery etc was available and plentiful.

Absolutely loved this place. Very big, well equipped and beautifully furnished. Other reviews mention its dated but we thought this added to its charms. Could imagine Ernest Hemmingway typing, sat in raftan chair on the upper terrace. Has an old world charm which we adored. The pool and pool area was great. A downstairs bar was very handy too. Kitchen equipped with everything you need. Communication with owner very good, and spoke to the local caretaker and housekeeper who visited once to ensure we had everything needed. Cant fault anything and would definitely stay again.

We stayed at Casa d'el Rei for the week of June 15-22nd and were very pleased with our choice.
The villa was great and met our needs in every way.
We loved the location with easy access to the beach, shopping and nearby sites.
All and all a great week and I gladly recommend to all.

There were four adults and one 20 month toddler in our party. This villa is beautiful and the view from the top balcony is stunning anytime of the day. The middle balcony was perfect for dinner, coffee, wine any kind of chilling, again with a special view. The bedrooms are perfect size, in fact the main bedroom is very big and it has a very warm feeling. We personally found the beds a little hard, but we soon got used to them. The pool was great because the weather for all but one day was sunny, and warm making the little pool perfect for our grandson. One thing needed is stair gates as there are a lot of steps in this villa everywhere with lots of escape routes for toddlers. We used spare chairs and furniture, but it was not easy as our grandson is extremely active. The cleaner came Wednesday and the pool man twice, both lovely people with lots of advice on the best places to visit.
A car is a must, we used ours everyday.
We hope to return one day to this very special place. Thank you for opening your villa to our family.

This villa had everything we needed and more! The Villa design and decor is amazing and the made us smile the whole time. The shaded outdoor eating area was superb for breakfast and dinner. The pool was very clean, as was the Villa. We are hoping to return next year, but if everyone loves it as much as we did, I doubt it will be available! 😎😎😎

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Del Rei. They kitchen was full equipped with anything you could every need. Very easy to use washing facilities. The outside pool bar was a bonus for keeping drinks chilled. High chair & cot available for little ones. The area was so quiet and we felt very safe.
The pool was stunning, albeit on some days I would have preferred it to be heated but that’s just luxury. The little baby pool was wonderful to just lay in and was a little warmer due to the sun heating it up.
There’s so much space to be able to spread out and have your own little area. I only have two things to comment that I would change slightly, one being a pool table or something for the adults to play and second being the decor / art being modernised. It’s a lovely home, that’s been lived in and cherished. We would definitely stay again with more family members, thank you for having us.

Very nice peaceful,, pool was magic house very big and pleny of space ,, had that old furniture smell but very nice to have stayed there ,, we dont drive and very hard to get taxi they couldnt find us but once used them for a while it got easier to get them .

We had a lovely stay ay the Villa, which was actually our belated honeymoon (delayed due to Covid 19).
We had a nice surprise when we got to the villa of a bottle of bubbly waiting for us.
The villa has everything you could want for eating in, we did have a few meals in, but mainly went out the eat, and there are plenty of places to visit within a short drive away (less than 30mins) to find restaurant's.
Lovely views from the villa of the surrounding country side and the sea.
You have the choice of either a short drive to a number of beaches, or use the villa's great swimming pool.
It is not 'modern' in design and is a bit quirky with all it curved walls (and the cow), so if you are prepared for that, then you should be very happy.
The only down side was we would have liked as softer mattress, but bed firmness is down to personnel preference.
Would have been nice to stay a 3rd week!

We had a great week at the villa, the pool was the highlight for our young family, perfect for children with the added bonus of a baby pool, and the villa itself fully equipped with everything we needed, a great bbq area and several outdoor dining spaces and pool bar! Very clean and spacious with lovely views, a quiet location but very close to the town, a car is a must but only a short drive to everywhere we wanted to go. Marinha beach is beautiful and so close by. We had some amazing meals in Carvoeiro, lots of great restaurants to choose from with beautiful sea views.
The hosts were very helpful and answered any questions we had very quickly, and were easy to get hold of if we needed anything. We loved our time at the villa and would love to return.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The pool and outside area were outstanding and the property was very well equipped. The poolside bar area with fridge was used extensively and saved us having to go into the house whenever we needed refreshments. The beds appeared to be very hard but proved to be extremely comfortable. Everything was as described and we had the added benefit of seeing 1970s interior design at it's best. It really was an interesting property and we were still discovering new bits and bobs right up to our last day. We will definately be visiting again.

A wonderful find leading to a really enjoyable stay. The property is exactly as described and very well equipped. The pool area is fantastic, and the overall position of the Villa is great, amazing views and really quiet.

The Pool area is the best feature of the property, the interia needs updating the wifi only lasted two days and was needed for important business use, we were met on arrival by the property manager who was very helpful we made the best of our stay there and had some lovely times by the pool, taking everything into consideration we dont think we will stay again.

The Villa is beautiful, perfect, great views, wonderful pool, very spacious, the Villa had it all, even a bar at the pool side and we used the veranda every morning for breakfast. We hope to come back next year. Thank you for a great holiday. Karen from Surrey, U.K.

We had a great 2 weeks in this villa. It's so well equipped, we were still finding new things after 2 weeks!
Only downsides were - the air con didn't work at all (it was advertised with air con). The swimming pool lights didn't work at all. The jet bath didn't work. WiFi was paid for. Neighbouring dogs barked all night long.
However, we had an amazing time and would book this house again.

villa was as described although we couldn’t work air conditioning but used fans provided instead. very well managed and equipped. the shower in the top floor leaked onto bathroom floor but again there was a plunger provided! Overall felt it was worth money and the owner couldn’t have done more including sending a cake and wine for my sons 21 st birthday. It was really delicious

We spent a lovely week in this Villa . The master bedroom on the top floor is superb with views to the sea , and all the rooms are well maintained . The pool is amazing and the covered terrace is perfect for al fresco dining . The beaches , supermarkets and restaurants are only a short drive away and Carvoeiro town and the coastal paths are lovely in the evening . Everything you could possibly want is catered for in this villa , we will certainly return again . Many thanks for a great relaxing week .
