The unit was fine and in an okay location

The unit did not have airconditioning so it was hot and humid at light and difficult to sleep. Very squeaky wooden floors

Nothing except the host that met us was friendly and helpful.

The area. Too many abandoned buildings around. We, two ladies felt "unsafe". The lighting in the room was way too dim. We actually had to use our torchlights on our mobiles to read! Extreme mood lighting? Kitchen was not well equipped and the microwave turntable could not move properly. The bathroom shower screen was also "hanging" only from the top rail and so could not close properly causing water to seep out of the shower stall. The shower stall was also very small.

The key delivery was perfect. The host was polite and explained everything we needed to know. The checkin process was smooth. The room was fantastic, the neighbourhood was perfect for our stay and very close to everything one would be like to visit in Porto. We were very close to all the nice cafes and breakfast places. I would highly recommend staying here.

Nothing!!!

The place was not as advertised. The photos showed a balcony and view but there were no windows or balcony (not sure if that's legal)! We were located on the bottom floor, street side which was really noisy. The apartment was dingy, musty spelling and damp. Water spilled onto floor when you had a shower. The bed was low to the ground. Very disappointed since this apartment was our first time and stop in Portugal. Gave us a bad first experience!

The room was great with really high ceilings, towel heater in bathroom, kitchen, large doors going out onto two separate balconies, in a lovely building (some steep steps going up to the room; I didn't mind at all, but be conscious of this if mobility impaired). Fabulous location (located on a steep hill, but this is common for Porto) within walking distance to river, park, and multiple restaurants. Our bags were stored for us after checkout until we could collect them on our way to the airport, and this was a huge benefit.

Meeting the host at the very beginning was a little difficult given that we only had online texting capabilities and the instructions we were given were not very detailed. It all worked out in the end, though. I'd suggest getting detailed instructions before arriving (door code, specific address, maybe the wifi password so you can communicate easier, etc.) and being willing to wait a few minutes for the host to show up.
