We had stayed over the Christmas period as a family and we enjoyed the property that had everything we needed for our stay,comms was great with the owners,and nothing was an issue for them to sort out,over all a lovely happy stay,and we would stat again.

Fantastic communication with owner throughout. Very well- equipped with plenty of space inside and out for 8 of us with 3 dogs. Very central location with lovely riverside walks from across the road. There is a reasonable amount of traffic noise but this was made clear before our stay and didn’t affect our enjoyment.

Just back from a 6 adult, 1 dog family break. It was a great house for this. All four bedrooms are very spacious and pleasant. Very good showers. So excellent sleeping/bathroom facilities.
The kitchen is great, so well equipped; everything you need many times over.
4 reception rooms - the dining table took 6 adults very comfortably, we moved one settee from the front room into another lounge so we could all sit together. Garden is so attractive and completely dog friendly. In warmer weather we would have sat out there, a nice garden table and chairs set. Again for 6 if I recall, but we didn't use it so I might have that wrong.
Yes it's on a busy road on one side but this did not bother us at all. A very quiet road at the back so parking was not a problem. (There is some parking with the property, we arrived in 4 separate cars but even so it was not an issue).
My only gripe. It is obviously lived in and there is a lot of personal belongings in wardrobes/bathroom etc. Not too bad. But didn't like the opened fruit juice and water left in the fridge, bits of used butter etc. Not great in these covid times. However 2 big fridge/freezers so I moved all the open stuff to one fridge and used the other.

We had a lovely time here! Loads of room for 7 adults, a baby and two dogs. Comfy beds, good showers, and great communication from the owners. The garden was gorgeous, and great for the dogs as it was secure enough to let them out on their own to run around. Less than ten minutes walk to the train station, great for a day trip to Bath. Very light sleepers might want ear plugs as the noise from the road can be quite loud, but that certainly wasn’t enough to detract from all the positives!

A fantastic short stay for a local wedding
In short: a fantastic stay at a lovely property.
Great communications from Andrew and Patrica. Our entire group enjoyed our time here, with all commenting that we had wished we had stayed for longer. The fresh bread was a lovely touch and was very much welcome.

Long weekend in Chippenham
The house itself was spacious and child friendly. The owners were very helpful and had left a thoughtful basket for us on arrival. The house is off a main road so although this is convienent to go sight seeing to Bath, Cotswolds, Swindon etc - there is a lot of noise from the traffic 24/7. Also, the showers needed a thorough clean. Other than this we all had a wonderful weekend away and the property had top quality items and had enough to entertain us all. Thank you.

Stunning family home with a great garden.
We had such a lovely stay in this beautiful quirky town house in Chippenham. We went in July and had lovely weather so could make full use of their amazing garden. They are also a pet friendly house which makes it a great place for families too!
The host were so accommodating, quick to answer any questions I had and left us a very generous gift basket on arrival. I highly recommend this house to anyone.

Wonderful house
Had a lovely family reunion at this house. Plenty of reception rooms with comfortable bedrooms and everything you need in the kitchen. Location was a wonderful base for exploring Bath and the Cotswolds. Lovely freshly made bread and lots of other goodies in the welcome basket. Both generations and the dog loved staying here.

Beautiful large house and gardens, ideal for large groups..
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Churchdown and had an extremely relaxing few days exploring the local area. Bath is literally 11 minutes on the train and local shops just a five minute walk away. Also check out the maps as there are many dogs walks locally that we took advantage of.
Fantastically equipped and a real home from home. The sun room was lovely for our morning coffee whilst planning our day and the dining room with its large extending table perfect at the end of a busy day to relax and enjoy a meal and a glass or two!!
Only downside was the position of the house and a little extra cleaning of plug holes in bathrooms.
Its literally off a busy traffic island.
Now this isn't a problem when you're in the house, you dont hear the traffic at all but if visiting in the summer be mindful that there is quite a noticeable degree of noise from the beautiful garden. We loved our stay and so did the dogs.
Would love to visit again if in the area.

Large and lovely accommodation for two families.
The location is a little noisy but the property and the enclosed garden is spacious, comfortable and quirky. It is close to several areas of interest and some nice river walks almost straight from the door. Communication with the owners has been easy and informative.
A lovely house to stay I'm for a long weekend and we would definitely consider it again.

stunning property for amazing family get together
We used this property as a base for our midweek wedding in the town, eight of us stayed here mon - fri, with a further 15 people joining us on the Wednesday after the ceremony for a few nibbles and drinks. The house was everything I could have asked for and more! it was plenty big enough for us all to mingle and feel relaxed.
we also had our 3 dogs with us, and I can honestly say its the most dog friendly place to stay, I could leave my dogs with the run of the fenced off outside area, knowing that they were safe and away from my guests so no muddy paw prints to ruin best clothes.
The property is lovely and close to the town, so we could nip in for last minuet bits we needed, and the teenagers could come and go freely without getting lost in a new place.
contact with the owner was always brilliant and quick, right from the booking through to us leaving.
would highly recommend, and would definitely return again.

A home from home
This delightful, comfortable home became our home from home in August. We loved it's idiosyncrasies. If you're looking for something out of House & Garden, this isn't it. It's a home filled with interesting bits, bobs and books, in an excellent location. The walled garden and trees cut down the noise of the busy intersection abutting the house. The kitchen is very well equipped and we enjoyed cooking with the Aga. A wonderful place for a family reunion.

Lovely house
Relatives of ours came over from Europe for a family gathering and we chose this house because it looked very appealing in the photos. We all reached it following the instructions and getting in was easy. The owner had thoughtfully left a basket of goodies for us and with grandchildren around we made use of the pasta and sauce immediately.. There's plenty of room and we all enjoyed everyone of the rooms including cooking on the Aga which we'd never done before!. We used the dining room a lot because the furniture in the living room was too low for the not so able! The weather was exceptionally hot and we slept with all the bedroom windows open which was very noisy as the house is on the corner with traffic lights in front of the window! That's why there were blackout roller blinds on the windows. Notwithstanding that and the fact that the front hall is in need of repair, you can overlook these niggles because there are so many nice details in the decor that make up more positives than the negatives.
