This is without out the greatest Vrbo we have ever stayed at in our lives! Five stars does not even begin to explain the property! Alessandro picked us up from the train station, and when we could not find a taxi for our departure, he came and picked us up and took us back to the train station! The villa itself was exquisitely, clean and completely stocked. Reviews are the wonderful city from the terrace were absolutely gorgeous. We were so impressed by our stay in our house that we are planning a return trip next year!

The view, the view, the view; the terrazzo floors; the generous and thoughtful hosts; the beguiling 70 travertine steps; the comfortable beds and wonderful linens; the bottle of wine and nougats that awaited us.... We could have lived for months at Attico San Francesco, in a daze of gracious living. A grocery store below the apartment offers quality goods from pre-made lunches and dinners to basics for breakfast. The apartment has a wonderful view of Siena from outside the walled city, with easy access for all able pedestrians via escalator into the heart of the old city. A binder at the apartment offers guidance for sights, dining and local points of interest. All basic and many additional thoughtful amenities are provided, from a really generous array of breakfast goods & snacks to washer / dishwasher / blackout shades to shower & personal grooming accessories (good shampoo, etc.). Communication with Maria Rosario and Alessandro was easy and fast; Alessandro kindly picked us up at the train station which made our travels so much easier and nicer, then helped us carry bags upstairs, no small feat! In sum, this is one of the best places in Italy with thoughtful and experienced hosts who excel in gracious and generous welcomes. Thank you, Alessandro and Rosario.

I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Attico San Francisco. The apartment was spacious, clean, charming and perfectly located for our activities both in Siena and the surrounding areas. While not in the heart of town, it was extremely walkable (just a few minutes to the Piazza del Campo), and we preferred the privacy and relative quiet of its location. Our host Alessandro was wonderful! He met us upon arrival and made sure we were able to find parking during our stay. He went above and beyond make us feel welcome and had supplied his apartment with everything we needed to start each day with delicious coffee, tea and local snacks. We would highly recommend this property to friends and family and plan to return in the future for another, longer stay. Grazie mille, Alessandro!

The apartment is perfect, the location is perfect for walking into the walled part of Siena and is easy car access to all the beautiful surrounding villages, wineries, etc. MR&A provided great information on things to do, places to visit, the history of Siena, restaurants, available services, parking, etc. MR&A are great hosts, very helpful and thoughtful. If we could give more than 5 stars, we most definitely would. The location is fantastic, just 5 minutes walk to the city wall, with free parking close by. The apartment is perfectly set up for a family or two couples, quiet and very comfortable. The host was beyond welcoming, kind and generous, meeting us on arrival and even providing generous breakfasts and snacks for our whole family, a lovely bottle of delicious wine, and advice throughout our stay. The kitchen is well set up for cooking, including spices, olive oil. Plus comfy beds, great towels, good wifi. And the most spectacular view from a huge terrace - breathtaking both at night and in the morning, We fantasized about moving in, and living surrounded by such beauty. Attico San Francesco is an absolute gem! Both charming and convenient with a host who provided close attention to all of our needs, including food and amenities at the apartment, as well as recommendations for all the area’s wonderful sites and restaurants. Highly recommend; the only drawback is no elevator but consider it a chance to walk off those calories!

Allesandro the host is unbelievable. He has an awesome place and welcomed us at midnight (flight delayed, surprise)very and showed us the ins and outs. The appartment is very well stocked, way beyond our expectations. My wife and daughters are planning to go to Siena in March and we most likely will book again. 10 minute walk from downtown, and there are escalators :). Supermarket right next door, 5 mins from train station

If I could give this experience 100 stars, I would! The apartment itself is truly incredible - very spacious, well stocked and thoughtfully appointed. But even better than all of this is the outside space. The terrace has the most amazing panoramic view of Siena!
However, the best part of all is the property owners. Alessandro offered to meet Me and my family at the train station to transport us and our luggage to the apartment. We ended-up arriving during a bad thunder storm, and our train was significantly delayed, but Alessandro was intrepid and insisted on waiting for us. At the apartment, his wife, Rosario, was waiting for us. Together they had stocked the apartment with supplies and food staples, including items specifically geared toward our children. They spent considerable time with us going over everything in the apartment and the highlights of the city. They even helped us decide on a dinner spot, given our tastes, and Alessandro facilitated a reservation.
I cannot say enough positive things about our experience here! We will definitely be back, and we will recommend this property to all of our friends and family.

What a perfect place and our hosts were beyond wonderful! Alessandro offered to pick us up at the train station and went out of his way to help with dinner and other reservations. Spacious Penthouse with a lovely view and all the amenities
Attico San Francesco Penthouse his was the perfect place to stay in Siena. In the heart of wine country, it was walkable to the center of Siena. It was comfortable with cute touches and maps/pamphlets of the surround area. There's a grocery store right down the hill, restaurants, pharmacy, and all the things you could need close by. Allesandro and his wife met us when we checked in and explained all the details necessary for us to enjoy our stay. They provided some nice touches like some cereal, milk, coffee, etc. so that we didn't have to go out and buy groceries straight away. Although we never "cooked" the property is outfitted for a longer stay. Unfortunately, for us the weather for the most part awful and rainy but we did manage to sit outside and enjoy the Patio on one evening and it's a wonderful place to be. If I was in the area again I would certainly stay here.

What an incredible place and incredible hosts. Alassandro met us at the apt late in the evening on our first night and laid out all of the amenities for us. We had breakfast for the next morning.

From the moment we arrived in Siena in the pouring rain and was picked up at the bus stop by Alessandro we knew we were in for a great stay. The apartment is incredible with amazing views of Siena. Even being winter I spent every morning on the deck watching the sun rise. A great way to start the day. It is a short walk to the escalators to get you up to the old town and was nice to come back home at the end of the day. The supermarket is fantastic and down a flight of stairs from the apartment as is the car hire place. A perfect spot to base ourselves while exploring Tuscany. We easily parked the car in the street outside the apartment. Alessandro was very helpful and attentive and we appreciated him checking in with us. The kitchen was well stocked as was the bathroom. We can not recommend Attico highly enough.

ATTICO is amazing!
We loved our week in Siena with 3 of our adult children at Attico. The apartment is spotlessly clean. The rooms are exactly as described or bigger. The kitchen is well stocked and with all modern conveniences, including a dish washer and clothes washer. We enjoyed the beautiful view from the terrace several times! And Alessandro was wonderful to communicate with and gave many recommendations for our Tuscany adventures as well as in Siena. We hope to stay there again! Highly recommend!!!

We loved our stay at the Attico. The penthouse was fully stocked with more amenities than anyone could need. The wine and beer was an extra special touch. The view from the patio was amazing and we enjoyed starting and ending our day there.

A place to call home in Siena
We Spent 4 nights in Attico and we wish we had stayed longer. Alessandro met us and helped carry our luggage up the many stairs (yes, there are stairs, but they are part of the experience of Italy!) and introduced us to the apartment and Siena. Waiting for us was the immaculate and beautiful apartment with the lovely outdoor space of the terraces overlooking the old city, as well as wine, coffee, snacks and many basic kitchen needs that are often missing when renting apartments. He had recommendations on where to eat and visit during our stay.
What a joy to walk into the old city each evening to eat dinner, to purchase local produce, meats and cheese at the market just below our building. From the Attico we visited Florence, and the hill towns.
Paid parking on the street below was very simple and affordable.
Everything about our stay at Attico was above and beyond our expectations!

Picture Perfect location
We were greeted by the gracious owner curbside who assisted with parking the car we rented. Upon entering the apartment he lead us through a very detailed overview of the residence and has a guide that details all the surrounding attractions. We had an amazing time exploring Siena, day tripped to Florence by train and toured around Tuscany.by car. The apartment was fully stocked with everything you would need. The grocery was down a set of stairs right outside. A wonderful welcome basket provided us a much needed treat. We highly recommend this apartment! Our host was Amazing!

Amazing location, apartment and hosts!!
Our family of five had the best time in Siena! The apartment was beautiful, spacious, clean and included every amenity you might need. And the location was perfect - closely located to take advantage of the old city, but still walkable from the train station (for day trips to Florence, etc.). Most importantly, though, the hosts were FANTASTIC! Alessandro and Maria Rosario went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best possible time. The Palio was happening during our visit and they jumped through hoops to help us secure tickets and participate in every possible way. It was one of the most amazing events we've ever witnessed, and we are so grateful that they enabled a "once in a lifetime" experience for us. We were able to spend some time with them one evening, and they are two of the loveliest people we've ever met. They are honest and kind and truly want their guests to make the most oftheir stay. We will be back!

Beautiful Apartment, Exceptional Hospitality
We absolutely loved Attico San Francesco and could not have asked for a more delightful stay. The apartment is absolutely gorgeous - spacious, light-filled, extremely clean, beautifully furnished, and with truly stunning views from the terraces. Every single room in the apartment (other than the bathrooms, of course) has a door that opens onto a terrace. We spent hours in the evening and at night just sitting on the terrace, looking at the beautiful city, and enjoying wine, bread, and cheese. I had a magical morning watching the sunrise from the terrace as well. Our teenage sons enjoyed having so much space to themselves - we were really able to spread out in this apartment (much appreciated after 6 weeks of traveling through Europe together!). Also much appreciated: air-conditioning! We visited during a heat wave and we were so grateful to come home each evening to A/C!
Having visited Siena once before and stayed near the Piazza del Campo, I was concerned that staying outside the city walls would feel too far away from the action. On the contrary, I found the location to be perfect. The walk into town was fast and easy, I liked leaving the crowds for a quieter place in a non-touristy neighborhood (the supermarket right across the parking lot was handy, too), and I adored having the incredible view of the city.
But what really set this visit apart was the absolutely exceptional hospitality of Alessandro and Maria Rosaria. Their communication ahead of time was clear and helpful. Alessandro picked us up from the train station and dropped us off there at the end of our stay - we were so grateful for this incredible kindness! He walked through the apartment and showed us everything we needed to know. He and Maria Rosaria had thought of absolutely everything their guests might need, and they were incredibly generous with how they stocked the kitchen and bathrooms. They truly offered exceptional hospitality above and beyond anything we've experienced anywhere else (and we've had some great VRBO and Airbnb experiences).
Above the north gate of Siena is inscribed these words: "Siena shows a heart that is bigger than this gate." Alessandro and Maria Rosaria showed us how true these words are! If we are so fortunate as to visit Siena again, we will certainly hope to stay here!

Absolutely Perfect Siena Experience
We had excellent pre-arrival communication with Alessandro who greeted us with the most comprehensive welcome I have ever had with VRBO. The apartment itself was far more than we ever would have hoped for. Completely furnished, exceptionally comfortable, and an easy 10 minute walk to view the Palio. Beautiful property and superb hosts
We spent two weeks in Siena at Attico Francesco and could not have picked a more perfect place to stay. Alessandro and his wife Maria are the perfect hosts, communicative, generous and nothing was too much trouble - they have thought of everything! Yes, there are flights of stairs to get to the apartment but my wife and I are in our 70's and did not find this a problem and once you enter the apartment it is certainly worth it! We had a wonderful time, and should we return would certainly look to stay here again.

Perfect place in Siena
This was our favorite place in all of Italy! Our view was amazing. It is right outside the old city wall and has a view that is absolutely amazing! The apartment is on the top floor with 2 large terraces. Alessandro picked us up at the train and took us to the apartment. Alessandro and Maria Rosaria had wine, chocolate, cookies, water, juice and more things for us than we could eat. They also had soaps, shampoo, lotion and many other things that other VRBO’s we stayed at, didn’t have. If you’re in Siena, this is the place to stay!

Simply Heavenly
The penthouse apartment is simply beautiful. You walk into the sparkling clean flat and are awed by the view of Siena from the terrace – it will mesmerize you, it's truly breathtaking. I loved the modern decor all over the house, from the spacious bedrooms to the well-stocked kitchen (coffee, bottled water, juice, and homemade cookies), to the bathrooms equipped with plush towels, toothbrushes, bath oils, body lotion, shampoo, conditioners, and blow dryer. The hosts are extremely friendly, well informed about the area and very accommodating. They make sure that you lack for nothing. It's simply the best vacation home that I have ever stayed in. I didn't want to leave. It felt like home after a fun-filled day of walking around town and touring the beautiful rolling hills of Tuscany. I highly recommend staying at this beautiful penthouse. My husband and I are counting the days until we return to our second dream home again.

Beautiful Penthouse
We stayed here with another couple and were very comfortable. The apartment is beautifully appointed--the pictures do not do it justice. The owners have all the details covered from onsite laundry to coffee, tea and snacks, extra towels, stocked fridge, as if they really thought about what guests might need when traveling away from home. Great location with a market just steps from the door. If you like to cook, you will find fresh, delicious produce, local Italian food and meats, nice selection of wine and spirits. We had a wonderful experience at this property and I recommend that you consider this property if you are staying in Siena.
