this is the loveliest place we have ever seen on booking.com! and what a sweet surprise because you walk down a typical, authentic Sicilian alley and you do not expect the wonderful surprise when your host, Antonio opens the door. it’s absolutely stunning. it is stocked with everything you might need. the beds (one up and one down plus 3 twins in a separate bedroom) are very comfortable. great shower! the location is near an amazing bakery and you can walk to several restaurants. the town is delightful. the host is the best. the gave us cookies that he made, a bottle of Prosecco and 2 frozen gelato cones to enjoy after our dinner. Casa Aruci is fantastic.

parking in front of the door or on the street is a bit of a challenge. (but worth it)

We loved everything about our stay! Antonio went out of his way to make us feel welcome and to "leave a sign" (as he put it when he was giving us more and more delicious sweets from his store every day). Casa Aruci Sweet Home looks exactly like in the pictures but the hospitality of Antonio exceeded all our expectations -- it just has to be experienced. He is such a hard-working man, creating delicious sweet wonders in his laboratory from morning till night, and yet he always takes time to talk to you, explain what you are about to taste (there is something new on the breakfast menu every day!), what it is made of and so on. He also gives you tips where to eat in Scicli (Quore Matto is a must!), where to park, and which towns and beaches to visit. Thank you for everything, Antonio! You have made our vacation in Sicily really special, and I hope we will be able to come back soon!

Antonino and his pastries!!!

Honestly...the pillows, too thin for an old man like me ;-)

Casa Aruci is very comfortable and large, and it has many amenities - more than you probably need. Above all, the service is remarkable: Antonio was extremely helpful and kind, helping to secure a parking spot, giving recommendations for places to go to and restaurants. And the Dolceria Modicana makes amazing pastries... which we received upon arrival and for every breakfast (what a feast - don't go there if you want to hold a strict diet!). Location allows you to explore Scicli on foot.

The flat is on the dark side (only two rooftop windows) but that was clear from the description. The apartment was generally clean but it seems that previous guests walked with street shoes and the floors were not well cleaned. We could not use the sofa because it was wet (maybe just cleaned before our arrival).

Antonio welcomed us with delicious pastries and useful tips about were to go for dinner. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. We wish we had stayed longer!

Definitely a five star accommodation with all the facilities you could think of! An extra bonus was the Jacuzzi bath with lights and music, it was great! Also, the breakfast pastries were very tasty, and we also got bread, cheese and eggs. Perfect location with walking distance to the center. Last but not least, the host Antonio was very friendly, generous and helpful, he even booked us a table at a good restaurant for dinner!
