we didn’t mind the walk up from the waterfront but it is about 1 km away.

Top of the Town is pet friendly, which made travelling with our dog much easier. She loved exploring the property and visiting with Shelby the dog. Tracee and Bryan are lovely welcoming hosts. Our room had a view over town and we were able to watch the New Years fireworks. The property is within walking distance to the harbour, but also an easy drive. The property is lovely, with beautiful mature trees which help mask the sounds of the main road.

We found the bed quite hard for our liking. But that is our only issue.

Friendly, homely, comfortable. Tracee was very welcoming and hospitable - provided anything we asked for and more (fresh fruit from the trees in the garden, a lift to the ferry, lots of lovely chats).

Nice house, spacious bathroom. Great to be able to take the dog. Good for a night after the ferry trip, we arrived at midnight and everything was ready for us

Not much room in the bedroom, but comfortable and clean

Tracee is a very thoughtful host. We were late arriving. She had the outdoor light on, heater on in the room and even treats for our dog! The room was large and well appointed.

We forgot that the room we booked was closest to the road. The road noise from trucks until very late at night seems more often then last time we stayed here. Will book a quieter room in the main house next time.

The host for very friendly. The location and the fact its pet friendly. The room was of good size with off street parking. TV options are great and free wifi

It was very cold (we were given 2 heaters and extra blankets) and the road noise was very loud at night . There was no lock on the bathroom door. It's good if you have a pet but in tbe corner it did smell of cat/dog urine. Not easily accessible plug sockets

Was a little noisy as hefty freight lorries pass by early morning to get to the Wellington ferry. A little off putting was the insect spray left for our use near the tea and coffee- might have been better stored in the bathroom cupboard. It also made me think there might be an insect problem - which there wasn’t.

I arrived In Picton on the Interislander late at night. The hosts had the heat and the electric blanket on so my room was nice and cozy. They also left a special homemade treat for my dog which was a lovely surprise. I was very happy with my visit to Top of the Town in Picton.

Fabulous hosts and great for small dogs. The treat for the dogs is an added bonus.

The place was spotless and grounds very tidy room spacious and all the usual ammenities. Hosts friendly and helpful. Safe Parking. Highly recommend as the place to stay in Picton.
