Loved the kitchen/dining area upstairs with views out over the sea

The kitchen was understocked with crockery for the number of people staying there. They could do with a few more glasses/bowls/plates/mugs.

The location of you want to be right in town. The kitchen was large, good verandah. Laundry good. Staff friendly. Room was good, clean.

The room was so noisy we left after one night. Felt like trucks or construction going on, or rubbish collection. Whatever was outside, it kept us up all night. No point having a lovely room and then not sleeping. We absolutely couldn't stay.

They think in a hostel when they did it. The location couldn't be better. The terrace with the kitchen is magnificent with views to the lagoon and the ocean. Very clean and kindly staff

The beds could be better

location is good and the kitchen and fridge are big enough. also there is a very nice terrace to chill next to the kitchen.

the beds are VERY uncomfortable. super thin mattress. also the AC has no remote so you can’t set it on a normal temperature, that means that if you decide to turn it on you have to freeze. I can’t believe that after you check out you have to pay 20 dollars if you want to use the “facilities” for the rest of the day or until you have to leave (read fscilities as a kitchen and a sofa…..). I have been travelling for years, not only in Australia and not only in hostels. this is the first time I hear such a ridiculous way of making money.

Couldn't control the aircon temperature so it was freezing. You were only given a sheet. Not much space in the kitchen Photo shows a pool but you realise that's just the public pool across the road.

don’t book the room for 8! too small for 8 people, no room for your luggage. every time I had to open my luggage, I had to go outside. air con at max level (you can’t change it, I think it’s managed by the hostel). I was freezing. I had to cover myself every night from the head to the feet to avoid becoming sick.

- our room was as advertised as a twin room with a private bathroom on booking.con but when we got to the property we were told there were no twin rooms with private bathrooms which was the only reason we booked. An upgrade was not available and there was no other hotel options close by - There was a thick layer of dust in and on the aircon which is very close to the person who has to sleep on the top bunk bed - We also had lots of ants in our room.

I like it all, very friendly staff, especially Kim. Good rooms and beds, good price and an awesome location.

Service very friendly and helpful. The bathroom and kitchen were cleaned daily. Nice view to the Ozean and the Lagune across the street. Also you can visit a gym and sport classes.

The 4bed dorm was very small. The locker under the bed is unpredictable. No light at the bed.

I loved the location on the Esplanade. I also loved how clean and secure the facilities felt.

- Great location, just across the road from the lagoon - Very good Wi-Fi - Cleanliness was good in room and bathroom - Some dorms have their own bathroom, meaning there was barely anyone in the shared one, which was great! - Nice kitchen with all the utensils you could need, pretty clean, lots of free condiments and tea/coffee - Lovely seating area in the kitchen and out onto the rooftop, overlooking the Ferris wheel and with a sea view! - Reception staff very friendly and helpful. All were older, which I felt really made a difference - most hostels are ran by people barely out of their teens, but these guys had experience! - Good laundry facilities - Good sized rooms with AC and fans - Lockers - good size - Plugs for each bed

- It would be great if the beds had a privacy curtain - most of us would use towels and old sheets etc to hang up and provide at least a little privacy, but this then makes the room look less tidy - My mattress had some springs starting to pop through - Lots of long-term occupants

Dorms small with not much space for luggage altho communal areas nearby. Being a smoker there was no smoking area at all, not even on upstairs balcony 😑

Rooms were tiny. Stayed in a 4bed with the other three living in the hostel on working visas, which changed the vibe. Wish they had designated rooms for more permanent stayers.

The location was very modern and in the central with a perfectly look at the ocean. The staff was very friendly and helpful

after check out social room and the kitchen were not allowed to be used any more, in fact it was the first hostel that forbade me to use the rooms

Modern, super clean, friendly & helpful staff! Very quiet hostel so perfect if you aren’t a party animal or you are working! Bathrooms are the most modern ive ever stayed in for a hostel & so clean. It feels like a hotel more than a hostel - worth every cent!

Perfect position on The Esplanade with restaurants and the night markets and The Lagoon swimming pool just across the street. New, clean rooms and very helpful staff. Good laundry and kitchen with beautiful views of the sea. Great discount at Rattle&Hum restaurant and bar next door. Highly recommend!
