It’s a beautiful pristine beach just steps away from the rooms. Swept and raked each morning.
There was a bad smelling smoke off and on during the day from trash being burned near by. Quite caustic.

It was all just... okay. Nice verandah, and outdoor space. Having a dip bucket for your feet to remove the sand.
Pretty grounds, free parking. Friendly staff.
For over $500 a night per person, not including ANY type of food or drink, it was very underwhelming and simply disappointing! The AC unit was exceptionally loud all day and night long, we went in intervals of turning it on and off to get some peace and quiet, but then the fan was dusty and rickety, and didn't provide any real relief. The actual room was very small and felt claustrophobic. There was no 'wow' factor when you open the door as you would expect when you stay at a claimed luxury property. The food was at best... mediocre. I just had higher expectations for a top rated property. The topping on the cake was finding a cockroach in the bathroom!! We genuinely couldn't wait to check out, we ended up booking an Airbnb in town and really started enjoying our time on the island. I really wanted this place to be the highlight of our vacation.
It felt like a rip off to get charged so much money for so little, We could've stayed at the all inclusive resort down the street for the same price and had a much better time. Safe to say, I'd never go back to Jamaica Inn, nor will I recommend it to anyone... unfortunately!

Friendly staff, clean accommodation. Nice location next to beach. Lovely spa.
Lack of authentic Jamaican food, limited vegan options. No vegan desserts. Ordered vegan pizza, and it included meat. Vegetable wrap also came with cheese, but this wasn't specified. It was ordered as an alternative option.

The property was exactly how the pictures were displayed online and incredibly clean. The views from our veranda on the beach were stunning at all times of the day. You can tell that the property is very well maintained and looked after. There was nothing we wanted or needed that wasn’t available.
There was nothing I didn’t like

Wonderful staff and service. The private beach is great.
All inclusive options are pricey. The entertainment offerings are limited.

That I didn't stay longer

The staff were the heart and soul of the hotel. Friendly and helpful with selling you things at every occasion. Especially the beach team who not only look after it for all the guests, but the turtles who choose to lay their eggs there.
The govt tax and the 15% service tip on top of the food prices meant food/ drinks could be expensive if you do not leave the hotel.

Everything and everyone was fantastic! The Inn was exceptional. A quant Inn with a very personable staff that constantly went out of their way to please its guests.
Breakfast every morning at our room was an absolute pleasure. So relaxing to have your order delivered to our outdoor living area. This outdoor living area was a highlight for us. With no TV, we were able to enjoy each other's company with great conversation, a game of cards, or just reading a good book.
Food and drinks were always 5/5.
Snorkeling was the best there is to offer. There is no need to leave the property as you would not see any better aquatic life.
We were fortunate enough to be able to witness two turtle nest hatchings, again on the Inn's private beach.
The Inn offers several different tours on the property with different themes as well as a weekly movie night, galla dinner, and several other offerings.
We were able to hire a boat from the property to take us to Dunn's River Falls privately, which was an amazing way to travel to be able to view the coast from a different vantage point.
Not being American, our dollar exchange was low in comparison, which made the purchase of anything at the Inn extra expense. We found it frustrating to go to Jamaica and have to convert everything to US currency while knowing the cost of the products in Jamaica.

The place, staff, beach, room, activities. But, most of all the "magic" of Jamaica Inn.
Everything was perfect.

Fresh flowers, a nice bathroom (slight difficult to maneuver), very comfortable bed. Everything was thought of from ice on the patio to beach towels. Colonial style property lovely amazing views
Alot of mosquitos in the room, a repellent was provided.
3.5
The view from the dining rooms and the easy access to the beach.
That it's not all-inclusive. A little pricey. And no TV in the rooms.

The beach and the character
I got bitten and the mosquito prevention device wasn’t working. No TV in the room.

We booked as many guests that stay also repeatedly return, which for my partner and I was hallmark of a hotel that cares.
Our stay felt more like a retreat than a beach hotel. A beautiful location with sunset views, all topped with authentic, helpful and approachable staff.
The rooms were kept very clean and tidy, with fantastic balcony views, a reflection of the resort as a whole.
I enjoyed the daily complementary activities provided, such as yoga and snorkeling.
Looking forward to returning in the near future.
The shower head was fixed lower than preferred (I'm 6ft and it met my head).
1 door key for the room - a key each for my partner and I would have been helpful.

I loved the old school Jamaica Hospitality. The flowers in the room and the ones that come with room service. The staff really seem to enjoy working at Jamaica Inn and that comes across to the guests. The complimentary cocktail on the Beach and the High tea. The grounds are lovely and the beach area was free of seaweed.

The breakfast option was amazing. perfect location. not far from the local town. 95% of staff were polite and provide excellent service apart from 1. There was only 1 staff that was not polite on the late shift, he was grumpy.
My daughter's room was not next to mind and she didn't feel conformable being so far away.

Breakfast was fantastic - lovely pancakes and the coffee was delicious! Staff were very friendly and it had a relaxed feeling. The sea was beautiful and with lovely views.
I do think it was quite expensive. It would have been great to have more Jamaican food on the menu each day e.g., plantain, however we asked for it and the chef delivered!

This is truly one of the most relaxing and beautiful places in the world. I hesitated to write this review as, selfishly, I would like to keep this hidden gem for myself ;)
The hotel, full of history, beauty, great service, wonderful food and drinks, and a place to recharge.
The highlight of the rooms – these are simple, beautiful, with huge open, amazingly furnished and comfortable verandas, perfect for chilling, reading and relaxing. The room is something out of the history books or movies that you never want to end.
But when you finally do leave the room and veranda and head to the beach – you can do many more slow pace activities like kayaks, paddle boards, snorkelling, sailing, floats, etc.
Shadow IV, the local celebrity dog, come and visit you from time to time which made my wife very happy :)
Just enough shaded huts and trees. Don't need to rush ;) just relax!
Teddy’s bar, on the beach, thanks so much for the complimentary daily Planter’s Punch - we have become a big fan of it :)
The restaurant is a very special experience. My wife's absolute favourite was the catch of the day. The service is terrific and friendly, and everyone makes you feel special. We loved to dress up each night and enjoy the soft music.
I hope it remains essentially unchanged for as long as can be. It is everything you want when you stay at a small, family-run, historic property that is built and maintained with true love! We hope we will return more frequently.
PS.: thanks so much Owen (the turtle whisperer) for allowing me to be the latest a best midwife/midhusband! I will always be grateful for being a part that amazing experience. Please keep up the good work!
Wouldn’t change anything!

The scenery was immaculate ! Breath taking even !
So it was my sister and I birthday weekend. The pair of us had a friend meet us at the resort to stay. My extra guest paid. I had a surprise from my boyfriend and his family drive to meet us at the resort. Well security and hotel management made a big deal about them coming to my room to hang out not stay hang out with us after driving hours to come surprise us. Long story short I was extremely embarrassed and didn’t want to stay my entire stay there. So my boyfriend set us up at another hotel in the area he lives Overall it would have been the best experience of my life but unfortunately due to poor management and distasteful service to my guest ruined my whole experience with them. To top it off I lost my card at the resort.

fantastic location with some of the widest variety of fish to snorkel. we were lucky enough to see the release of some turtles which was amazing! Hotel staff were fabulous, friendly and the hotel put on activities most days to give variety. definitely recommend this hotel!
it would have been nice to have glass windows as rooms only have shutters. just from the point of view of saving energy as the AC was not so effective as the shutters did not completely close

This was a honeymoon surprise for my wife; she had always wanted to stay at the Jamaica Inn. I can honestly say that our stay was a truly magical experience. The views are breathtaking, the whole environment was beautiful and peaceful. The staff go above and beyond (thank you Bobby, Sadie & Bethune!). It says something when one of the owners comes out to spend some time with you.
My wife was suitably wowed, and suffice it to say we really didn't want to leave. By far our best holiday experience yet.
