This is a beautiful property! We spent our last night in Costa Rica here and it could not have been more lovely. The views are amazing, the atmosphere was seren and he staff were all vert friendly and helpful.

The private cabinas are just delightful. Most beautifully exquisite tile work.

view to the Arenal lake is fabulous, the king cottage is huge and the Spanish internal decoration is very exciting.

the kitchen amenities were not clean, and the pool was overly heated so was not usable. as the restrooms and shower spaces are not separate from bedroom and no doors, this space is less suitable for family. price for off season is also too high compared to other places in same luxury level

It was in an amazing location, well decorated, very romantic. They had animal shaped towels and roses for the suite we had. Great location to get to tabacon spa. The employees were wonderful and breakfast was good

Being in the jungle the animals are terrifying, and the bugs are almost infesting the property. There were bugs in the bed, all in the room, and we would be woken in the middle of the night to the sound of either bugs or monkeys slamming on the roof practically screaming. The walls were so thin we thought it was inside. There was also a massive wasp nest outside our door as well. The parking lot lacks spaces and we needed to illegally park. Also be sure to advise them when you plan on coming, as we saw a couple that was scared and wandering the property because they came in late and everyone is gone by 7pm. You know what they say, puda vida!

Away from main activities which requires transport

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place . we were traveling with our golden retriever and they mean it when they say they are pet friendly ! she was so welcome and that made us so comfortable . the staff are fantastic , in particular gorge . The location. is charming . it was just a. beautiful almost farm stay like place that we will recommend and visit again . oh and the restaurant is great ! reasonable and quality food !.

That we had to leave

There is an incredible garden, pool, and grounds. Each bungelow looks out onto the lake and beautiful flowers are everywhere. They are a ways from any town but there are 3 restaurants, a small supermarket, and a souvenir shop all within 3-4 min. walk. The pool is amazing and the food at the restaurant is great. Beware! The drinks are HUGE. I think my pina colada and lemonades were quart sized. The airconditioning worked really well.

The property is older and has some issues with deferred maintenance. The table in our room used to have a glass top and it was missing. It was made of some old wood and totally infested with tiny ants. I went to pick up the room guide and there were more than 50-100 ants crawling all over it.

The staff was exceptional, they were friendly and very helpful navigating the area. The room was comfortable with a fantastic view of the lake

Everything! The view which is amazing on the lake, the room which is fully equipped and big, the garden which is wonderful, the location close to a lot of activities, the pool… we were very much surprised because we did not expect as good accommodation from the photos!

Just the shower temperature which was very difficult to control (sometimes very hot and a second later very cold)

The breakfast was very good, served by wonderful staff in a beautiful location.

We came to La Mansion Inn to get away; so we wanted to stay put. The prices on the menu were very high, but we had no choice as there was no kitchen. Some items were substandard (nisoise salad), and others were excellent (Azteca soup). I'd pack a cooler with lunch items if I returned.

we booked two rooms and the hotel totally messed our reservation up. when we arrived they said sorry but there is only one room and they gave the other away even though we had two confirmed rooms. this left us scrambling after driving to the hotel to find an alternative
