Power cuts that had nothing to do with the hotel but because of bad government. Internet was pretty patchy. Needs a revamp.

Everything was absolutely amazing. Personal always smiling and taking care! Furniture wonderful, very clean, garden. They gave comfortable transfer from airport. They speak English good and can help you to take taxi if you need. Also they can explain you which transport to use and how to get there. Bed more than perfect.

Free airport pick up, very large room and nicely decorated building, very friendly staff.

There’s nothing in the area so really only use this hotel if you come from/need to go to airport.

The boy who was there to serve us. He was rude. He behaved like our arrival was a burden for him. He wat supportive. We had wait 15 minutes till he prepared the room.i checked whether we can order dinner. He said no, you have ro walk and buy your dinner. We wanted ro leave early morning, but he had locked all the doors from out side. It was horrible. I won't recommend this place to anyone.

The owners of the property went beyond their requirements to make us comfortable. They actually welcome us as a guest to their family. Unusual. A priceless experience.

It was very close to the airport and there is a free shuttle bus to the airport.

There was nothing good about this place.

I was physically abused, beaten by their staff who picked me up from the airport. This place is absolutely not safe at all. All I did was just being friendly; I invited this same staff to my room and offered him some whiskey. We were having friendly conversation as far as I was concerned. This staff, apparently the son of the owner of this place, punched me and knocked me down. When I woke up hours after, I couldn’t recognise my face and I was wearing someone’s clothes. My clothes were stripped off while I was unconscious, and taken away to wash away my blood. For the first time in my life, I feared for my life. Few hours after, I was taken to the reception area where I met the whole family including the perpetrator. This mature lady advised me that I was drunk, fell down and I shouldn’t make a complaint to police. Also they did not allow me to go out of the villa on my own. Few hours after, they took me to a doctor and made me pay for medication including the trip. The doctor did not even look at my injuries. They spoke in their language. I was counting down every minute until the next morning, so I can leave this place. I was really scared for my life, that’s why I decided to go along with whatever they said. They had this place locked and I couldn’t go out until 7:00am. Finally when I got out, I got myself a much better accommodation and went straight to a hospital and got myself checked up. I had to take x-ray and I was diagnosed with broken nose, cut lips, traumatised eye, teeth, tongue and severely swollen cheek. This is something you never do to your guests.

It was our first night in Sri Lanka and nothing can still compare to its breakfast. It was delish. It is affordable, close to the airport and they offer transfer in 15 minutes.

Manoj "The Caretaker" was really a nice guy. He helped in every way he can to make me comfortable. During the odd hours also he was helpful. Very joyful and friendly nature. Guys if you want to see & experience the antiques then you must stay here. The Villa is full of antique and very fine vintage wood work.
