A washing machine and a dryer after 10 days on the road was like finding a free bottle of champagne in the fridge! Also loved the porch and had a beer or two there in the evening.

we had our own outdoor porch area with lamp to enjoy any time . we had a parking space in a safe place and were able to wash and dry clothes.

The Papa Dux apartment was beyond expectations. The loft space with the outdoor patio was absolutely great for our 2 night stay. The house is perfectly located with in walking distance to the beach, funk zone, and all of the restaurants and shops on State Street. We will be back!

Ease of access from parking lot. Private porch and garden sitting area.

Bathroom is a little small and dated. A nightlight would help to navigate to the bathroom in the dark.

Location near Old Downtown Santa Barbara was very convenient.

We loved having our own private patio with ferns and water fountain. Just Lovely for our morning coffee! And we liked the size of the apartment so we could move around comfortably. The interior design was very nice and I really liked the size of the closet, drawers, shelving available to put all of our things away.

It's a very dark space inside. There are lamps but couldn't always easily find how to turn them on. Paint is very dark, just hard to see. And the bathroom is very dark, not enough bright lighting to put on your makeup. The shower rain head is too low for a tall person. My husband is 6'3" and couldn't stand underneath the shower head so that was not convenient for him. Over all, we really liked this sweet place. :)

Wonderful stay in Santa Barbara. Really like the location and proximity to the best shopping, food, and wine the town has to offer. Room was very quiet and well appointed (including washing/drying machines)!

Perhaps a bit small but it's worth getting out and exploring the area!

Great location

Lots of hazards in the unit, kept stubbing my toe on the bed and kitchen floor. The sink in the bathroom was broken, things just generally need rehab A new mattress would be good too.

Located perfectly between the funk zone and State st, you couldn’t pick a better location. The apt was clean, comfortable, and had everything you’d need. On top of that, the host Laura was wonderful and responding quickly to any questions we had. Also, the bed was very comfortable!

If you have a big car, parking may be tight. Also because of the great location, there is some street noise.

I stayed at Baby Dux, one of three apartments carved out of a small house. Small but functional kitchen, comfortable sofa/bed quiet location on a main street with easy walk to restaurants on pedestrianized Old Santa Barbara street (State Street). Private parking off-street. A really cozy and pleasant evening after a longish day on the road.
