My partner and I stayed here for a few nights to explore Sedona and hike. The apartment itself was the perfect amount of space for the two of us, was very comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was convenient to everything. As others have said, it is busy during the day but the traffic dies down at night. It certainly did not wake me and I am a light sleeper. The host even provided a red rock state park pass in the guidebook. The weather was warm and the cooling in the apartment was very efficient.
Mary was communicative and available while not being intrusive whatsoever. Check in and check out could not be more simple! This is one of our favorite places we’ve stayed because of how comfortable and effortless it made our visit. 10/10 recommend if you’re looking for a comfy little place to rest and reset after exploring Sedona.

Great location for a homebase to sleep and rest up before heading out to hikes, shopping or restaurants. Mary was very helpful and easy to communicate with. Be advised it is on the main road through Sedona, but it is quiet at night. The kitchen was well stocked and the bathroom has a nice double sink and large shower. Washer and dryer in the unit.

The unit was very well kept. The climate control would have worked better with a thermostat control for the cooling. It was hard to regulate. The location was very central, but there was a fair amount of traffic noise in the morning as the location was right on the highway.
All of the amenities where taken care of when we arrived. Well stocked with any necessities.

Didn’t realize how spread out Sedona is. While we were in the West Sedona area, it was great for easy access to trails, good restaurants. Mary, our host, was available to give ideas, suggestions for meals. Golden Goose was a great choice, as well as Nick’s, across the street, was excellent for breakfast. Best advice from Mary—get out early for hikes in order to find a parking spot. Although located on a busy street with non stop traffic, the unit was quiet and well equiped

My husband and I loved the location we were at in Sedona. Truly could have not picked a better spot with such a stunning view. The room is very clean. The owner was very friendly! We will be back as soon as we can 🌵🏜️

Great location close to hiking trails. You are next to highway 89A so busy during the day but balcony in evening gives you great view of nearby mountains. Bedroom is in back of building so quiet in evening and no noticeable noise from highway. Mary is great host and very accommodating and very responsive if any issues with your stay.

First time in Sedona. Our place was very comfortable, slept so well. Gorgeous view of Thunder Mountain. Busy street, didn't sit outside. Easy drive to trailheads, restaurants, grocery store. Bedroom in the back so very quiet for sleeping.

We have stayed in several locations in Sedona and this is by far the best! Although it is right on Highway 89, the bedroom is in the back we were not bothered at all. It is also very nice and roomy. We've stayed at other places that cost more but felt cramped. Mary is a wonderful and gracious host.

Mary was a great host, greeted us there and let us check in 1/2 hr early. Also said we could check out later because she didn’t have anybody coming in later that day. She had a notebook with highlights of Sedona as well as a park pass.

Traveled to Sedona specifically for a hiking vacation for week. The location of this place is within a 10 mile radius of 100+ trailheads. Perfectly located in the center of West Sedona. Walking distance to shopping. Convenient to avoid the bottleneck of Uptown.
Mary, our host, was awesome. Very knowledgeable of what Sedona has to offer. Super friendly, responsive and made sure we had EVERYTHING we needed for a great stay!
The place was a phenomenal homebase if you need all the comforts of home, a place to rest and recharge, cook some meals, etc. We were incredibly comfortable here. We spent all of our days hiking and this place was so convenient to it all and great to come "home" to and rest between adventures. Stocked with items so we didn't have to bring from 1500 miles away (like shampoo, sunblock, hairdryer,etc) Comfortable surroundings, HOT shower, all the creature comforts of home. Lots of great hiking books to check out when planning adventures. And the Red Rocks pass was so great to have too, one less thing to worry about.
The apartment is on the main drag, so of course expect some traffic. We didn't have any issues with noise (to be fair our days started EARLY so we probably missed most of the commuter traffic)
Overall, if you are looking for a great place for your vacation homebase, this is it. If you are looking for a spa vacation, this isn't it. But if you are in Sedona for adventure, you can't beat this place. We will definitely be back!

A Red Rock Retreat. A comfy , cozy place , centrally located. Mary, the unit manager, was a rock star. She was responsive and accommodating. She provided me a place to store my bags, whilst I was out enjoying the Sedona area. She patiently aided me in accessing the unit, when I had difficulty. I have stayed in many vacation rentals, but hands down, Mary has been the most generous and kind manager. Thank you for the over the top customer care. I hope to be back again to enjoy another relaxing get away.

My wife and I were visiting Arizona and chose this Thunder Mountain location as a "home base" for the week. We could not have been happier with the property or with the host. Mary was present if needed for anything, but we never had to ask due to the thoughtful way this property is furnished and appointed. We also took advantage of a discount available to guests for renting an ATV for the afternoon. That was a remarkable experience that we won't forget! Overall, the property is convenient, well-appointed, and comfortable. The host was great, and we are grateful to have made a new friend. When we return to the Sedona area, we will definitely seek to return to this property.

I booked this place because it was significantly cheaper than all of the other options. (Literally, it was the first in my search sort from low to high). I was concerned though. We were travelling on a budget, but was it really worth saving money and staying on top of a business? This place could not have been more perfect, regardless of the price! This has one of the best views along the entire Sedona strip. It was located in the center of everywhere we wanted to go, and many walkable restaurants, shops and stores. The unit itself was phenomenal! Very well taken care of, very well equipped and MUCH bigger than we expected. The owner Mary was so kind and helpful to make sure we had a fantastic stay. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Overall the stay was great. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was just to a small issue with communication regarding the host entering the place while I was staying there. The host entered the place while I was gone to check if the AC was turned on and only let me know after the fact when she thought she left her wallet there. I would have been more comfortable if she had communicated that to me before entering the place since all my stuff was in there and I was a woman travelling alone. Everything else about the stay was great, that one instance just made me a bit uncomfortable.

We had a wonderful time in Sedona. Listing is as advertised. Mary helped get us settled in upon our arrival. Location was perfect for our plans. We explored and hiked around Sedona and spent a day at the Grand Canyon.

This place is absolutely perfect for what we were visiting for. The view is amazing and even though it was on top of a business, you absolutely cannot even tell. The property is quite and beautiful. Easy access to any of the things you want to see or do in Sedona. We even drove to the Grand canyon and did a helicopter ride. This place is highly recommended and inside is so comfortable and everything you need is already there. My only only issue was the tree out front blocks the perfect view but we weren't there sitting and just looking at that. I will always use this place coming back. I hope it stays open.

Found this place on VRBO listing, very reasonable rate. The location is perfect...a mile or so away from busy part of town but close enough to be minutes away! The apartment was clean and spacious with all the amenities of home. The owner herself met us upon arrival and gave us all kinds of information. Would definitely recommend staying here!

This is a masterpiece of a place. The size was perfect for my spouse and me. The views from the living room were unbelievable. We saw sunrises, sunsets, hot air balloons rising up. Everything we needed was inside. We walked to restaurants, grocery store and post office. Mary was the hostess with the mostest. Sedona is our new go to spot. We will be back in a year and hope you do too.

The unit where we stayed was spacious, very clean and actually quiet considering it’s on the main highway. The only problem is you cannot sit outside and enjoy the views. Unit sits above a dune buggy rental and does not have the room or privacy to sit outside.
The only other issue is having checkout time at 10:00 AM, most hotels checkout is 11:00 AM. We were 15 minutes late checking out and we were reminded that checkout was at 10:00 AN.

Location was great! Morning views on the porch and walking distance to some good restaurants. A few of our nearby favorites that were in walking distance were Vino de Sedona, Hillside Deli, and Sedonuts. Short drive to the hiking trails to use the parking pass that comes with the rental! Mary was a great host and lives nearby. We were a little late arriving, but once we did, Mary stopped by to show us the lay of the land of the apartment to set us on our way! Just the perfect amount of attention and interaction! Apartment was just as described...don't be scared away with a business below or road out front...very quiet at night with the bedroom in the back. In my opinion, best value in Sedona for a VRBO. Will look to reserve again when we make it back to Sedona!

This lodging worked very well for the two of us retirees for our one week stay in Sedona to hike and visit relatives. The 2-room unit is located over and adjacent to an ATV rental business on busy 89A which provided a sense of activity and excitement during the day especially on the weekend. The bedroom is in the back and actually very quiet and we slept well. The main room is spacious and comfortable with a kitchen equipped to fix simple meals. For coffee there was a good drip coffee maker with filters and a French press, and even some coffee. The washer and dryer and ironing board were used and much appreciated. The bathroom was of a good size and the walk-in shower (no tub) was great with a rainwater showerhead and copious hot water. The Red Rocks Parking Pass provided was a real convenience and saved us from running out to get one. Note that it is up a flight of stairs which was a minor challenge when moving in and out. Our host Mary was solicitous and welcoming and provided all we needed. It suited our needs perfectly and we were very happy with our stay.

Accommodations were acceptable. A few things could be fixed (sliding glass door lock and shower a little cleaner) but all in all a very cute little place to stay. The hostess is very nice and compassionate. It was a pleasure meeting her. Thank you for your kindness.

We absolutely loved this place! It was a perfect location to get a nice view of the red rocks and be away from all the tourism of Uptown. You can hear the sounds of the highway but it didn't bother us too much. Including a Red Rocks recreation pass was such a nice touch!
