We had a very peaceful stay in a beautiful part of the world. Highly recommend after Labor Day here to avoid the crowds. Downtown Sister Bay is very convenient to all the sights and services in Sister Bay.

Perfect place. Lots of room, seating, entertainment, supplies. I even noticed plenty of little kid items, potty chairs, high chairs etc.

The location of this house was great, we were within walking of Main street Sister Bay. The bathrooms and kitchen were clean, the floors may not have been cleaned/mopped prior to our visit.
Upon arrival, we had trouble opening the key lockbox, but called the owner, Brandon, and he returned our call right away and gave us instructions.
We didn't spend a whole lot of time in the house as we were out exploring Door County, but it met all our needs. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a basic house that was is in a good location and affordable. And the host was very responsive.

This is an excellent location and would be great for a big family or multiple families. Lots of sleeping options, lots of gathering spaces, well stocked kitchen, great fire pit area outside. Walking distance to most of the Sister Bay attractions and short drive to neigboring cities. The property was very clean and well maintained. Lots of games, toys for kids

Plenty of room for our 3 families to spread out and enjoy our annual week together. Biking to the beach and playground was a daily hit with the little ones and walkability to food and bar favorites was a hit with the grown ups! The lower level area was fun too with a nightly match of the game. We will be back!

The Cotter cottage was everything we needed and more! It was the perfect size for our girls trip to celebrate our beautiful bride!
The location was perfect, easy walk to town but tucked away for it to feel secluded and has a nice size private yard with ample parking.
Brandon is a great host and was easy to work with and commune with.
We will definitely be back but maybe next time with our family.

I enjoyed staying at the Cotter Cottage with my 2 girl friend's!! The house is walking distance from town so it was very conventent to walk to the restaurants & the beach. The house is big with plenty comfortable accommidating places to sleep. The beds that we used were very comfortable! The house was very clean and had a lot of additional items to utilize for guests, like a cooler, and a wagon for kids or to carry items to the beach. It is perfect for a large family gathering with small children. Yet, it definitely worked for us because it was so close to town & all 3 of us had our own bathrooms which was really nice. Brandon the owner was very informative & let me know of any issues that arouse prior to my stay & solved them very quickly. There was a very detailed information packet about what is expected from guess who stay at the cottage which was very helpful! It should be understood that everyone should be respectful of the property they rent as it is someone's charist home that they are gracious allowing people they don't know stay at the property. I would definitely rent this house again!!

We enjoyed a long weekend with friends and family (6 total) to decompress and have some Door County fun. The house is larger than the pictures show. We ran into a shower head issue the first morning in the main bathroom. No flow at all. I contacted Brandon and he immediately replied. I volunteered to purchase a new shower head and we installed it quickly. Brandon reimbursed me immediately via Zelle....fantastic response!
The only odd thing we encountered was that we had to place the fitted and regular sheets on the beds. It wasn't a big deal to me, just the first time I have encountered this at a rental home.
I would highly recommend this home to anyone. Thanks Cotter family for allowing the use of your home!

My friends and I stayed at the Cotter Cottage in Sister Bay and we LOVED the house! You are basically in downtown Sister Bay, within walking distance of the marina and restaurants. The location is perfect. We’ve stayed in plenty of rented homes in Door County and this is our favorite place so far. The house is huge! Roomy kitchen, plenty of room in the downstairs living room to have a movie night, and the bedrooms were near each other but still private (besides the bunk bedroom located on the other side of the house.) There are neighbors close by but the house is secluded by trees. We enjoyed using the firepit on a chilly fall night. The owners, Brandon and Maria, are very quick to reply to any messages while staying at the home, they are wonderful hosts - and we hope to be back next year!

The house is ideally located close to downtown but has a secluded backyard and deck. Inside it is very roomy and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you could possibly want.

I wanted a place where I could invite my imitate family to stat all together. My three adult children with spouses and grandchildren, to attend my niece's wedding. I also what the chance for my extended family to visit and enjoy a meal. This was the perfect site, ample room for everyone.

VRBO pictures need updating. Lots of room for kids and adults. We walked everywhere. We had a great time. Highly recommend it, especially if you have children.

We had a great experience. The location is very close to town without having a lot of foot or car traffic passing the house. There was plenty of space and the house is in good condition. We would definitely stay here again.

Retired Friends Getaway
Well situated and designed home with multiple conversation/entertainment/sleep areas so it is GREAT for all ages - many extra blankets, games, and TVs. I rated cleanliness less than excellent because the oven was very 'well used' and there were a few left-over items on the bedroom floors which made walking barefoot uncomfortable; however bathrooms were spotless. The dishwasher wasn't working but the landlord notified us in advance so that wasn't a problem.

We wanted a place that could accommodate the 7 of us. Lots of hang out spaces. Walking distance to shops, coffee house and restaurants. The views of the water aren’t bad either.

Amazing Family Stay!
Phenomenal home and amenities for a family getaway. Everything you could need for young children: Pack 'n Play, small table, toddler bed, potty chair, baby gate, stools....etc. Tons of space to relax and a great location to walk to anything in town.

Perfect family gathering place
The home location is steps from sunset viewing, Sister Bay stores, coffee shops, restaurants, music in the park, and boat rentals. The house is spacious and well stocked with kitchen appliances, games, and TVs. With 3 active children, we set up a badminton net in the big backyard for family tournaments The fire pit was an added bonus.
Brandon Cotter was an attentive host when contacted over a few minor issues. The beds and linens were comfortable with many pillows in each room. Be sure to check out the Door County books available in the game room.

Family Get Away
Location, location, location. The cottage location was perfect for our family. A block to the docks to fish, an easy walk to the beach and playground, yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the heart of Sister Bay. The cottage is spacious, the kitchen well equipped and the bunk room was perfect for our six grandchildren. The owner responded quickly to any questions that we had.

Even better than expected
This house is amazing! Location, space, amenities! All beyond our expectations. The house had so much room to spread out. There were 10 of us from 4 to 50 years old. The bunk room was great for the kids. Play area was perfect for my daughter! Yard was great too, lots of room for the kids to run around. We are planning return next year!

Cotter cottage weekend retreat
Super fun weekend with friends in Sister Bay! The Cotter cottage had everything for an enjoyable stay within walking distance to EVERYTHING!! We enjoyed being able to walk to all the food & breweries. Husbys, Chop & Wild Tomato are must visits while in Sister Bay, the food & drinks were Phenomenal!!! We stayed here with 2 other couples! Great space for each couple to have their own bedroom and bathroom and the shuffleboard tournament was epic!!! We would love to bring all our kiddos back, the bunk bed room looks super accommodating! A++ communication, thank you Brandon!!!

Prime Location!
For being so close to the action, it was amazingly quiet and private! This property had so many options for hanging together and quiet time if needed! We enjoyed the bonfire pit, the lower living room and the giant family dining table! My teenage daughter was thrilled with the Xbox and wifi access! The whirlpool was a welcome surprise! The house really made this trip special!

Don’t pass up this place
One of the best vacations I’ve had, and this place absolutely made that. Very spacious, there’s at least 3 general hangout rooms indoors not including the patio, plenty to do, great location. The owner was very accommodating and is very prompt to responding to questions. I will 10/10 come back.

Fun first stay in Door County
The property manager was always timely with responses and was able to even give recommendations on places to go for the best restaurants around the area. The location couldn’t be better being one block off the strip, and it was a wonderful little fun vacation stay with friends.
