We absolutely loved this lodge & location.
It’s was in such a quiet beautiful area.
The lodge was extremely warm and cosy, it had everything you would need, the underfloor heating was amazing and we are truly missing it since arriving back home.
This is by no means a criticism but storage for clothes would be beneficial when staying for a week or longer and bedding could do with a little update. It seemed a little old and worn out.
We were fine as arrived around 4pm so had plenty of time to make up beds, however if we’d of arrived late with young children making 6+ beds up would of caused some bother.
None of this will stop us returning, we were so at home there and can not wait to return.
Communication was spot on and any time I messaged I had a very prompt response.
Highly recommend

Christmas in Wonderland
We really enjoyed the cabin, it was well equipped and spacious. Things that I loved that I think were rare were the sharp knives and a supply of essentials like Salt, pepper, cling film etc. It was beautifully clearance and the setting was quiet and magical. If I had to pick something I would improve it would be storage for clothes, otherwise I can't wait to return, hopefully in a couple of years.

Lovely
We stayed here in August - which is great if you want to get away from it all (which we did)...don't expect too many late nights in Luosto! The cabin is lovely - great big kitchen, really comfortable living areas and a fire and we loved the wet room/sauna/hot tub. There were only two of us so we had loads of space, although probably in an ideal world there'd be a double bed or two rather than singles, but we found singles to be the norm in Scandinavia. It's about 10/15 mins walk to the shops - there is a small convenience store in Luosto. To go to a bigger one it's about a 15/20 minute drive to Pyha.
Obviously hard to say what it would be like for skiing, but the accommodation was great and the service received from the owners and the local travel agency was excellent too.

A very warm, comfortable, well equipped log cabin.
I would definitely recommend this as the place to stay in Luosto. It is in a very pretty setting. A group of us spent a week in the cabin in winter. We were very warm and comfortable. The bathroom with sauna and jacuzzi bath were very welcome after a walk in the snow. I would definitely recommend the Gregory cabins to friends. We thoroughly enjoyed our husky sleigh ride, reindeer sleigh ride, visit to the amethyst mine, and final meal at the nearby Kerttuli restaurant. There is plenty of snow skiing for those who are able.

Nice and cozy lodge gregory c
We stayed at the Gregory C lodge for 1 week and had an excellent time. The sourrounding is really ideal for walking, cross-country skiing and skiing. We had a rental car and were very flexible in luosto and the surrounding area. Around the lodge you can see snow rabbits nearly every evening. To see the northern lights it is recommandable to go to the open area at the beginning of luosto as you have a perfect view direction north.
The interior of the lodge is very lovely and totally fine. The heater works more than perfect, it was hot all the time! The double bed is a bit small but you get use to after 2 or 3 nights. On TV you see several english, frensh, german and finish programs. A small supermarkt ist reachable within a walking distance of 15 min. A very very well sorted supermarket where you will find everything is in Sodankyla.
We would defently choose the gregory c lodge again for another holiday. The booking, payment and handover of the keys were easy and totaly uncomplicated!
Wish you a happy holiday and a great time!

Best Place to stay in Luosto *****
Dear Heli,
We have had a wonderful 10 days vacation in Gregory A in Luosto. Everything, what is needed, is there to spent the time in a kind of luxury feeling. We enjoyed every detail / equipment of the house. The contact to the owners was excellent. Everything was organized very well. Compliment. We would choose again this kind of stay ( more than in a hotel ) and recommend for anybody, who will try Lappland, to have a look for Gregory Log Cabins in Luosto. Thanks again from Germany and Best Regards to you and your familiy !

Switzerland
We are a couple from Switzerland and spent a great week in Luosto. We were very surprised by the beautiful cabin wich was very good situated, however, we would recommend to rent a car. The interior of the cabin was very cosy, big and comfortable and had a floor heating at the ground floor which was also very convinient. We loved it. We will come back for sure.

The Perfect Getaway!
After much debate over a winter getaway my husband and I chose a 7 day stay at Gregory C and we were not disappointed! The cabin was perfect, always warm and very cosy with the open fire. The cross country skiing in the area is excellent and the downhill conditions were great. The private sauna after a day of skiing was the perfect end to each day!
The small village of Luosto was inviting and everyone there was helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our holiday so much we even booked a couple of extra days and are planning to return to catch the end of the ski season. This holiday has been one of our very best and we came away feeling refreshed, relaxed and excited to return!

we are a family of 6, and we booked the cabin for a Christmas holiday, and we had a fantastic time, we do not drive, but getting to the cabin from the airport by bus was easy, the cabin feels isolated even though there are cabins near by, and the shops are easily accessible and provide all you will need for your stay, as does the cabin, which is amazing, modern, comfortable and spacious, for us this was a once in a lifetime holiday, but we had such a great time we plan to visit again. if you are taking a family and wish to visit Santa, or other attractions outside Luosto, it may be wise to hire a car, but there is a bus service near the shops. i would recommend this cabin you will not be disappointed.
