Good location in a silent street but still close to the restaurants. Friendly hosts. We could use the kitchen. Nice terrace, comfortable bed and good airconditioning.

There is no hot water, that is not a problem when it is hot outside, but after hiking 2 hours in the rain, it would feel good

The shared bathroom was pretty clean as well as the other parts of the hostel. The owner and his family were nice. For a short stay this is a cheap and good option.

It's located at the end of a small street so it's really quiet at night and the view from the balcony to enjoy breakfast is very nice. The host had some good recommendations for us and the cat is super cute

Some rooms and the surroundings are still under construction so they are doing their best but there's always going to be some sand and mud around.

The room was a nice size, good airconditioning. We could use the kitchen and sit outside on the balcony. The place was relatively clean and the host was very kind.

There was only one bathroom which is a bit inconvenient.

The Hostel is in a great location about 5min walk from the Village. I met the owner when I arrived very friendly guy. Also the host that lives there was always super friendly and helpful. Kitchen was always really clean. I defientely recommend staying here.

Friendly reception and good communications. Good bird watching from terrace in the morning. Kettle and kitchen facilities. Far enough from town to get away from the noise but not too far.

Electrical issues meant one poor night's sleep but I think that's just the rustic nature of the place. Make sure you charge your appliances as there are power cuts too.

Good A/C, attentive staff, great value, filtered water, family friendly, free coffee, nice kitchen, near a great swimming hole in a quiet part of town. I liked that they had a cute Japanese anime theme, felt original for Colombia.

Cold water showers.... minca is cool enough at night where one would appreciate a warm shower, but it’s certainly not a must.

Absolutely loved the location of this place- A short 5 min walk into town and a couple minutes walk away from a river to swim in which was such a hidden gem!! Staff were super accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay as well as info and recommendations on all the waterfalls and walks in the area. Rooms and amenities were clean and comfortable, thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!

Really nice and great sized terrace with a view of sunset and lots of birds flying around. Super helpful host who helped us with our washing and a great kitchen. Room was good value and had a fan and aircon with lots of floor space.

No matter how nice the room or the location may be, the bathroom is shared with the family and all the guests and there is no daily cleaning. It gets nasty. Also the kitchen is not inviting. Plus you'll have to wait for both for a long time if it's occupied.

The terrace looks way nicer on the picture. It's surrounded by a very untidy garden. The mattress in our room seemed pretty old and uncomfortable. If you don't care for cleaning, you'll get a nice cheap accommodation.

Really relax place! Nice balcony, good WiFi and 5 minutes from town. Quiet nights and day. Kitchen fully equipped and fridge.

Waterpressure a bit low but this normal in this area. We would add hammocks at the balcony. But really recommended.

Location was great, nice balcony, cool at night dont need aircon fan is fine. Next to a funky cinema with evening movies, 2 min walk to river. 5 minute walk from centre, well lit path at night. Room is fabulous with usb plugs beside bed and great size.

Need a few hangers or towel rail in room to hang wet clothes etc. You are sharing the house with family and using their kitchen, this may not suit some people

The communication was excellent! They were very attentive over whatsapp. And the person who greeted us upon arrival was kind and thorough. Akainoie is basic but has everything you need - excellent value.

I'd happily recommend Akainoie for a short stay in Minca with one exception: do not sleep in the bunk beds in the triple room! My friend who slept in the double had no issues, but I was in the bunk and it was so uncomfortable I couldn't sleep a wink.

Basic but comfy place to stay. Especially for the price it was really good. The staff was really nice. They make you feel at home and they are very helpfull. Just before we departed they had lunch and invited us for the lunch. When I asked how much we needed to pay for it, they said it was almost and insult for them that i thought i had to pay for it. They made us really feel part of place. Also the location is more than fine. Close to the village but you have to go down a little path, so it was really quiet and far from any noise. I absolutely recommend this place

I really have to look for things that could go better. Ofcourse some things can be improved. But it are mostly things you can not expect now for the price they offer.
