The location was very good and staff very responsive.

The room was a bit warm (we went in August).

The balcony with the garden view and the cleanliness were exceptional. The bathroom was very modern and pleasant to use. The room was big and had a lot of storage room. There was a ventilator to keep cool, a hairdryer and a kettle with tea/ cappuccino. The TV had the Amazon prime/ Netflix apps. The location is great. All in all, great stay!

It is wonderful location in the oldtown, 5 min walking to beach, to all bus station, restaurants. The room is clean and with small balcony.

The room had good facilities. Small fridge and dishes as well as hairdryer, fan. Everything was clean, and the whole house gave a vintage impression. It was a nice accommodation. The location was great.

Most people probably won't have a problem, but I have asthma and something about the air bothered me. In other accommodations in Madeira I didn't notice it afterwards, but here I found it harder to breathe at times.

Well located

Top floor room was extremly small, no AC, leaking shower, no lift, narrow stairs. If you have room on 1st or 2nd floor you ll hear other guests passing by.

Brilliant location, room felt nice and fresh

Location great, lovely and quiet room at the back which was a welcome surprise. Very well furnished and comfortable, loved the balcony.

Lovely to have a fridge and complimentary water.....but some glasses would be useful! also some teaspoons - again kettle and mugs provided but tricky to make a coffee without spoons! Other guest rooms which provide a kettle also provide some complimentary tea/coffee - that would be nice even if just for the first evening/morning. A mirror is needed in the bedroom please - just the one in the bathroom is not enough for 2 people. Ideally full/3/4 length, even if on back of wardrobe door. A safe should be installed into the wardrobe or somewhere please. This is a basic requirement now and we were very surprised not to find this. We only managed to speak with Sergio once, even when we made a point of being at the reception during listed open hours at other times there was noone there. This is not ideal - if the hours are shown then the reception should be manned. It is also not good practice for noone to be present when guests need to check out - during reception hours. Otherwise key and keypad access very well thought out thank you. OUr shower leaks through the shower door and also either at the top or bottom of the shower screen - quite badly. We tried to be very careful with shutting the door, etc, but it still leaked. We could not sort this out with reception as they were never in the building.

Location was excellent, there was no breakfast. More of an Air BNB experience.

The showercabin leaked, and when my gf took a 15 minute shower the wasn't any hot water left over in the boiler for me

It is a nice place in the heart of the town. Great location. The room was small but comfortable. Everything was clean and in good condition. The host give me additional information in advance about transport, activities, car rental companies, etc Definitely recommend it.

We didn't have a chance to meet any personal. In case you need something there is no one to answer.

Two flights of stairs to reach our room. Bed a bit hard but just personal opinion seemed very good quality.

The place is filled with character, it is quiet and yet in the city centre close to all amenities. The staff was lovely and very helpful

While I was in a very quiet room which was great for work the WIFI connection wasn’t so strong for video conferences (working remotely) The owner tried his best to fix it and even added a rooter in my room but still a bit slow for important meetings. Perfectly fine for social media, emails and everything else though 🙏🏻

Sergio was an excellent host who was extremely responsive to email and helpful. The property itself was exceptionally clean and in an excellent location.

Very nice and cosy room in the city center. You are just right in the heart of Funchal. Of course, because of that you shouldn't expect that it will be peaceful area. However, at night it is absolutely quiet. I would truly recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in the center of Funchal.

The premises was perfectly located in the city centre, close to all areas of interest. Sergio, the propreitor, was extremely helpful and informative The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with large tv and tea/coffee making facilities. The premises was very quiet and i felt relaxed and safe throughout my 3 week stay.

A problem with the shower was an initial irritant but Sergio promptly rectified this.
