Overall we liked the Villa. It was clean and had all the facilities we were looking for. If we had an issue Seashell were always quick to try to solve the issue. Special call out to Cristina from Seashell who was very helpful during the course of our stay.

There was a really strong smell of sewage coming from the front bedroom bathroom. We complained about it but it was not fixed during our stay. Because of the strong smell we could not use the front bathroom and had to keep the door closed so the smell wasn't too strong in the front bedroom. We had seen complaints about this issue in previous reviews of the villa and I had sent an e-mail to the property owners in advanced to make sure the problem had been resolved. I was told it had. Unfortunately I was misinformed as it had not been fixed. For that reason we will not be returning to Casa Nova and would not recommend the Villa to others. When you are told an issue like a sewage smell had been fixed and you are looking forward to staying in the villa you expect that to be the case. It was very disappointing as the rest of the Villa was very good. The entrance to the villa from the road is very dangerous. You come straight onto a main road on a blind corner. To add to that the entrance drive way is made up of lose stones so when you try to drive away the wheels of the car spin. I would recommend this be improved.

It's not entirely clear from the add, but the pool is a private pool. Nobody else has access to it. The barbecue area is really nice - a great set up. The house itself is large and spacious. Always plenty of hot water etc... House was nice and cool even without using air conditioning. There is a rough track up to the house, but don't worry, once you get through the gates is really nice. The internet is good. The only issue I had was when sending mails with large attachments, but the download speed must be much higher than the upload speed because streaming movies worked very well. Great big fridge. Kitchen utensils were not "top of the range" but they were adequate with plenty of everything you might need.

We did not have a rental car and therefore getting around was difficult. The main road is not safe for walking even a short distance. The alternative roads are also intimidating because every house seems to have huge dogs who seem eager to eat you if only they could escape from their yards. None of them did escape so I'm still alive to write this report, but it was scary - especially for small kids. Basically, you need a car. We made friends with an Uber driver who helped us a lot, but even so it would be better to have a car. Even getting a normal taxi is difficult because the address is a little vague. As others have reported there is a smell from one toilet, but it's not too bad (most of the time).

Lovely and clean beds were superb new ensuite looked good

Still got some issue with the drainage does rather stink in the two bedrooms where the sewage is with been there for numerous times and still is the same.
