Condo OK-nothing special. No check-in-just open the units unlocked door and keys on counter. Walking to River Run is not possible if carrying skis, boots, poles. Major potholes at entrance. Parking was a disaster, nothing plowed, no sand or ice melt on treacherous steps. Husband slipped on ice, fell down, was bloodied & bruised and could only ski one day. Bad experience, won't return.

Pennay's is perfectly located, a quick 3 minute walk to River Run Lodge and a 10 minute walk into town. The unit was recently updated and was very clean, it also included a washer & dryer which was nice for our extended stay. Management was helpful, providing fresh towels, trash pickup and cleaning every few days. I definitely recommend this unit and visiting Ketchum!

Pennays et River run is the most amazing location in Sun Valley area. You c an walk uphill into downtown Ketchum 6 blocks and it is adjacent to the long Sun Valley trail system. And 100 meters from the River run plaza. And I love that Pennays is small. Perfect place for family gatherings.

No real view from this unit but a nice pine tree sits off the deck.
One suggestion: put usable deck furniture so one could enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine. A tall table and chairs so you can see over the deck rail. The cheap low chairs were basically useless.
The “common area” is taken over by the residents of the property.
These are not deal breakers and we really enjoyed our stay.
We would opt for the first floor which has a usable patio.

Our stay at Pennay's was wonderful! We planned to eat several meals at the condo and the kitchen was very well stocked with all the dishes, pots, and utensils we needed. The location is excellent, short walk to the gondola at Sun Valley. Check in check out was easy, received very detailed email with instructions prior to arrival that answered all our questions. We can't wait to come back next year!

The condo was delightful and had all the amenities we needed. There is a nice gas fireplace to set the ambiance, and a shared hot tub outside to relax after a long day of riding - that is just a short walk from the condo. We were walking distance to downtown Ketchum, which made transportation to restaurants and bars easy. Cheri was very accommodating and was able to help us get checked in early.

This is the perfect place for two adults with two kids. The bunk nooks were cool and the kids loved them. Though we didn't alpine ski, one lift was within walking distance. We did nordic skiing instead. The bike path was groomed for classic and skate and was a stone's throw away from the front door. The amenities were great, everything worked except for one outlet by the bed (unit 12). We cooked meals easily, ran the dishwasher and enjoyed the gas fireplace. We did run out of toilet paper and got no response when we called the 800 number in the main office. We would definitely come back again.

My wife and I stayed for a few days in a 1BR condo. We enjoyed the quiet environment, especially when the weekend was over – not that other guests were so rowdy. Being closer to the river than the town contributed to that tranquility. The unit was comfortable in size, and the king-sized bed was especially comfortable. The furnishings were vintage 1970-80 and a mish-mash of styles – but nothing to complain about. I can complain a little about faucets and sliding closet door that do not work smoothly and should be replaced or repaired. I really did appreciate the large number of hangers and the abundant storage space for everything. Kitchen amenities were fine, but maybe a few more utensils would be nice to avoid the necessity of washing them between dishwasher runs. Finally, the proprietor Alan was gracious and helpful; that is always a big plus.
