Charming hotel with stunning views of the old Venetian port. the staff was so friendly, the room was spotless and the terrace was exceptional. if I come back to Chania, I would definitely choose this hotel again.

The property is a family owned boutique hotel. Beautifully maintained in the old town of Chania, Crete. The Manager, Visalis was more than helpful with advise on what to do in the area. I would highly recommend this hotel, Carol Power

The location and friendliness.

Although the room was a little small, there was direct access to a large terrace with lovely views across the harbour and out to sea. The hotel is close to many cafes and restaurants but we were not disturbed and slept well.

The breakfast arrangements were not ideal the room and courtyard were spacious but the self service bar was small and could be a bit of s as squeeze. The food and beverages were very good and the staff helpful and friendly,

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hotel is comfortable, very clean, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent and, there is a lovely view of the port and sea from the terreace too. Breakfast was very good - I enjoyed it!

I loved every minute in Chania and every minute at Captain Vasilis. Can’t say enough how wonderful this property is! (didn’t want to leave/will be back💕) Personal, authentic, perfect! a lovely old Venetian home remodeled into a wee hotel. The host is a prince—always available and helpful. (He arranged a rental car for me… too easy! gave me the keys and off I went to fabulous/famous beaches) Breakfast is a treat…the balconies overlooking the harbor bay a delight (any time of night or day) the courtyard picture perfect! Love the Nespresso in my room and the comfy bathrobe. Captain Vasilis is easily my favorite stay in Greece.

Great location in the heart of the Old Town. The staff were so kind and helpful! The room was so beautiful and cozy. And the view was amazing. Also the breakfast was excellent.

It was a bit unexpected that the window of the room was "inside" of the other room's balcony.

Great location, our bedroom had an amazing view of the harbour, superb facilities, and very helpful, professional and friendly manager and staff. The breakfasts were great too. And the bed itself so comfortable.

This hotel was so lovely! The staff were very kind, breakfast was delicious, and the location was very close to just about everything you could want to see. I felt very safe staying by myself and everyone was very accommodating in arranging transport to and from the airport, etc.

Super easy check-in and check-out . Very clean. Lovely bathroom with waterfall and hand-held shower. The bed and duvet was so comfortable - like sleeping on a pillow. The terrace is perfect for watching the sunrise (which I love!), or simply overlooking the Old Town Harbour and watching the world go by. Vasilis kindly put together a breakfast for me to take with me on my early departure as I would not be there for the breakfast service.

A picture of the single room would have been helpful as it was quite small - it was rather small and on the ground floor near reception so I could hear all the comings and goings but all the guests were considerate and I slept really well without being woken. It was big enough for an overnight stop.

It’s clean. Free water in fridge. Nice bathroom robe and toiletries.

Value for money is very poor. Way over priced for what you get; there’s nothing special about the location or rooms for that price. This is a very average place charging extortionate prices. Avoid the single room. Surprisingly average breakfast and very poor & greedy customer service.

The location of the hotel was fantastic. It was right on the old Venetian harbour. When we opened the rooms shutters and windows we had views of the entire harbour, it was lovely. The harbour is also where all the restaurants and shops are. The hotel had a lot of character with wooden flooring, high ceilings, an internal courtyard, terrace looking over the harbour and quite a few steps. The bedroom was large with three big windows, that could open, looking over the harbour, and restaurants. The breakfast was toast, cheese, ham, homemade jam, coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, muesli, nuts and seeds, fresh fruit. The hotel is still run by a family member of the Vasilis family. They were very helpful and friendly.

When the restaurants below us were closing and the garbage and bottles were being collected, it was quite noisy. So, unfortunately, we had to sleep with the windows closed. This was the only time that we every shut our windows and shutters because the view was so fantastic. There was an air conditioner in the room, so the room remained comfortable.

Breakfasts excellent. Balcony overlooking the harbour was great - shade in the afternoon. Room very spacious. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Excellent location and very clean facilities. Exceptional staff, lovely breakfast and ideal for a stay in Crete. Near bars, restaurants, shops & the bus station. Cute court yard & nice views from the balcony to the harbour.
