This book a bach is in a great location, easy to find, easy to get into with plenty of space for the family. There was a visiting cat, the shower has great pressure and there are 2 toilets. Everything was well stocked and seamless

We headed up a for a short trip to sort things out after the wairoa floods. The host was a great man that immediately made us feel welcome and the place was full of character and fun for the kids. I highly recommend this for anybody :)

It was fantastic the house was fabulous and the owner made us feel special by meeting with us and even helped load our van when leaving a real great host

Good location for us, only minutes from town centre. The house was warm and comfortable and the beds were fine. It have everything that we needed plus. It is a multi level wooden house so quite creaky when you're moving around it. Our host was next door and very pleasant.

The host is very accommodating, and our stay was nice.
If you are like me and have the best bed in the world, then you will notice that the beds here are far from it, but I still went out like a light when my head hit the pillow and got plenty of sleep.
In our party, we had myself and my partner, and 3 friends who slept in different rooms. We found the place was very spacious and wasn't cramped at all.
Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a place for 4 or more people.

Parking not easy. Not enough heating.

We were a group of 5 friends running in the Hawkes Bay 10km. The house is conveniently located to Napier shops and the Marine Parade. It had everything we needed, including a one button gas fire place. Good afternoon sun and we felt relaxed and cozy here. The decor and fittings are dated but for comfy beds and a cheap and cheerful getaway it was ideal for us. Ron was excellent to deal with.

Came to Napier to attend a concert. Location is in easy reach of main street and also McLean Park. The home is well maintained with a few quirky features which add to it's charm. Our host was very helpful. Thank you

A quirky home which was a pleasure to stay in. Suitable for those who can cope with stairs as there are two long flights of stairs. A large open plan kitchen/dining/lounge which was well used during our stay. Everything we needed, and more, was provided making this the perfect place to stay for our two day minibreak.
We did not park in the driveway as it looked a bit tricky to reverse out of and instead chose to park on the side of the road.

Quirky house with everything you need, have stayed here before and will definitely stay again. Ron greeted us when we arrived and saw us off on departure.

Was perfect for us, big place with everything you need. Bit rough around the edges but a pleasant stay and well priced. Ron was helpful and friendly, great to deal with. Would not be suitable for young kids due to gaps in the railing around the stairs.

Unique architecture; everything you need; helpful host;
Art Deco buildings, downtown close by. Lots of stairs and on a hill, so those with mobility issues should be mindful. Nice stay.

We loved our stay at Ron's place for Art Deco weekend. Very homely and quirky property with lots of space for our group and well equipped.
Gets hot in the summer, but plenty of fans and leaving the large balcony door open helped a lot. Loved sitting out on the balcony to have breakfast in the morning.
Very easy access to town and a great base for chilling out after a busy day and then heading back into town again. Would stay again if we get the chance!

We really loved the quirkiness of the house, great location and close to all amenities, only thing that let it down was cleanliness of kitchen and upstairs toilet.

Great location, lots of character and really well equipped and looked after, we had a great time. One minor thing, there's a big step down to the shower so not really suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

This property was perfect for our three night stay. The old world, retro feel was something that we enjoyed as a family. The bach itself has everything a family of 5 could need and more.
It felt like a home away from
Home because like any home that is a dated property, expect to hear creaks and find some dust in corners. There were some issues with internet speed - but it didn’t bother us as we were there to relax and attend a wedding.
If there are members in your travel party that have trouble with mobility, this isn’t the property for you. One must use stairs to get to the kitchen/lounge, and the toilet bowls sit low. Expect to feel super warm on hot sunny says when indoors. The table fans provided came in handy and leaving the massive French door open ay all times helped. I imagine the home would be cosy in the winter because of the two fireplaces in the lounge.
Ron was a perfect host, attentive with details and although he lives right next door - it was like we were there on our own.
We loved our stay there and will definitely visit again. Thanks Ron!
