Needs a good cleaning other then that it was great

We had the best time playing in the creek and unplugging for a couple days. We loved the rustic country feel of the cabin and it was plenty of room for our large family to be comfortable. The cabin was nice enough, but it was a bit dusty and several cobwebs. Surely the cleaning service could take a few quick minutes to dust the fans and knock down cobwebs. The kitchen had most needed supplies, but could use a couple bigger pots. we had to cook some meals in two medium pots in order to feed our bunch. Other than that we had no complaints and would most definitely stay again. If you are wanting to get away from it all and spend some peaceful time in nature I most definitely recommend Larky Lodge.

We had a bad start due to it had not been cleaned before we got there. No wifi, shower upstairs leaked in king bedroom downstairs, the phone didn't work,and the satellite was messed up. I called Yellowrose and they were easy to deal with and did refund back a little money for the cleaning issue. The kids loved the creek! It was good to be disconnected from things for a little bit! I would stay again at Larky Lodge, but I just wish you would update it a little and fix what needs fixing.

The rental service answered my calls and e-mails. The cable or Davao player worked and they said they would send someone and no one ever showed up. We bought our own DVD player in Sylva. The kitchen drawers had rodent droppings in them and there were mice in the house. I told the rental company and they told me they would contact their pest control service. The cabin is not thoroughly cleaned. The floor wipes up black and needs to be mopped badly. The shower doors and track have mold and mildew. Also, no tread in the porcelain tub so be careful. My wife fell in the shower the last night. Also, the oven decided it wanted to give up the last night we were there. We had to do sandwiches. There were no trout thag I could find. Make sure you look at trout stocking dates and locations. The neighbor told me they stock the stream in March. He told me the group of guys before us fished their entire stay and only caught three trout. This property is a tie with another awful VRBO in D.C. whose ad was misleading and the place was filthy. I think we will only rent from legit people from now on. Lastly, a lot of what I said was repeated over and over in the book in the cabin that renters write about their experiences. The cabin is worth 90-100 a night. Just because you packed beds in doesn’t mean it’s worth the money being charged. They do have more cooking dishes and pans than I have seen most places which was great until the oven broke.

We were not able to use the tv, dvd players, or the gas fire place and only 2 eyes worked on the stove and it was dirty. There is a rotten place on the deck that could give way. It is secluded and very quiet which was nice to not have to hear traffic constantly. we would stay again, but I think some updates need to be made.

The cabin was definitely cuter than the posted pictures. However the fireplace didnt work neither did any of the tvs, and 2 eyes of the stove didnt work. It was a good little place to escape and unplug for a bit

No internet and no TV and the DVD player doesn't work so if you can't go offline then I wouldn't recommend it. But if you can then this is the place for you. I loved it but my people were a little upset there wasn't at least TV.
