Our group of 10 enjoyed an amazing vacation at this property. The house proved to be ideal for our small grandchildren, children and ourselves. Walter, Rene and Isabel provided excellent care, ensuring our needs were met with exceptional attention. You are going to be hard pressed to find a better place to stay than this in PV. Rene, Walter, and Isabel were beyond amazing, the location was perfectly located near the beach and town but far enough away to feel separated and private. The home is beautifully decorated, clean, and welcoming. The staff and property owner were attentive to our needs and made sure the house was always fully stocked with whatever we asked for. My friends and I were there for a birthday trip. Walter and Rene put on an AMAZING birthday surprise with a cake, piñata, drinks, and music. There is nothing else to say besides we will never stay anywhere else in PV besides Villa Encantada!

I booked this property for my bachelorette party with 10 other women and it greatly exceeded my expectations. Communication with Paul beforehand was so seamless. He was readily available and went out of his way to help. I had a few minor requests beforehand and he was able to help me out with no issues. The staff at the house are lovely. We all looked forward to breakfast everyday. The dinner we had was fabulous and the fish was incredible. They catered to my food allergies with no issues. The villa is beautiful, clean, and while it's not right in town or on the beach, it's a quick cab ride away. I am so happy I picked this villa for such an important weekend. I will definitely be back and I will recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend.

Where to begin? Pictures nor words can describe how amazing and enjoyable our stay was in PV. We had a group of 11, ranging in ages from 3-50 and EVERYONE was over the moon. Staff was definitely what made our stay extra spew. Diablo, Rene and Isabella are Villa Encantada’s little secrete ingredient to the best most relaxing vacation. Food was to die for, we didn’t really want to go out to eat as Diablos food was better than any restaurant- and this is coming from the entire group, in which native raised Mexican women also agreed! If your like us and have a couple picky eaters, not to worry they make sure everyone has something yummy to eat. I love that even my picky eaters were trying so many new foods with excitement. Rene was always on top of making sure we ALL had everything we needed and wanted and had plenty recommendations. Isabel was so quiet and quick, but her work definitely didn’t go unnoticed-she had all the rooms cleaned in the time we ate breakfast! Their dynamic was amazing, they kept us laughing and smiling. This was my third visit to PV and by far the best and most memorable. The board walk is very close as well as beautiful beaches! This property has it all, do yourself a favor and book it for an amazing visit-any occasion this fits the bill year round. Can’t wait to visit again, it’s going to be hard to top this experience.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. The communication and check in was seamless. The photos of the home are accurate and the house manager, Rene, was incredibly kind and helpful. We all enjoyed Walter’s delicious meals and his friendly demeanor. The house was also clean.
People should know that it is in a steep hill. However, the location is great and Ubers or taxis are quick and inexpensive.

Overall our stay was great. Renee and staff were outstanding. The accommodations were great for what we needed. I did see tiny bugs in the kitchen on the counters. not sure what they were. They weren't ants. They were much smaller. I assume that with the open air situation this is normal. One thing to be careful of is that the website doesn't match the email attachments you will receive when trying to budget for food for meals. In my opinion it should all be consistent. If I receive an attachment in the welcome email that is what I look at. I won't go to the website for the vrbo. We were caught off guard by the difference in cost of the food that was suggested to budget for. Just a tip. For those that aren't worried about budgeting it's not a big deal but it was a huge difference for us. Otherwise, we were happy with our stay and the staff was incredible.

My husband and I decided to do a week vacation with our family and found this beautiful house! We were a group of 12 and everyone fit comfortably. The staff was amazing! Walter, the chef, was so attentive to our requests, and the food was so delicious!!
He and Rene make a great team and made sure we were all having a great time! Again, super attentive. Isabel, the housekeeper did a great job also! The house is very close to town so getting around is super easy. Walter and Rene will have the taxis at the house in a flash. Wonderful memories were made and we for sure will be back soon! Our stay at Villa Encantada truly surpassed all of our expectations. The property was immaculate, but it was truly the staff that made our trip so incredible! We were traveling with 2 little ones (age 1 and age 2), and it felt as if we had an extra set of hands the entire time! Walter ensured our kiddos never missed a meal (I’ve never seen my son try so many new foods!) Rene went out of his way to make sure we had all the luxury’s of home for both ourselves, but most importantly our little ones and Isabel gave the mom’s the week off from the 10’s of loads of laundry we usually have to do! We left feeling like we had gained some new family members with this bunch! Thank you so much Paul and Lynn for hosting us and for Walter, Rene and Isabel for making us feel so at home! We can’t wait to come back!

We loved the spacious environment. WiFi weak but the views, food, security and restrooms in every room made this Villa a perfect vacation get away! Walter (Chef) was so sweet, kind and made the most delicious food. His vibe was top-notch! Rene (houseman) was so attentive and gracious, everyone loved when he was around. He kept the energy light and carefree. They make some great margaritas!! We didn’t see Isabel much but her job did not go unnoticed! Thank you to everyone for such a hospitable time. Myself and 6 of my best friends stayed here for my bachelorette party and we could not have been happier with this house but most of all, the staff! I would give 10 stars if I could. Walter is the chef and he is phenomenal. His food is even better than what you would get at a restaurant. I HIGHLY recommend having him make you the garlic shrimp and risotto. He was also so fun and friendly and was constantly cracking jokes with us girls, it was so great having him around and I truly miss him already. Rene was so kind and professional and was ready to greet and help us with our luggage the second we arrived to the house. He also made sure everything in the house was to our liking and was always making sure we had a fresh drink in hand at all times. He also set the table beautifully for every meal and got a fan out for us whenever we were eating outside. The pool was fantastic and we pretty much lived in it while we were at the house. The temp was perfect and it's a great size pool. Also great jacuzzi! Overall i would give villa encantada an A+++! The staff truly makes it an unforgettable experience and I will definitely be coming back here for years to come!

We had a wonderful time at Villa Encantada with 3 generations of my family including 6 adults and 5 kids ages 4-10. What makes this place extra special is the staff. Rene goes out of his way to make sure every thing is taken care of for you. He set up the outside table for meals in a way that made it feel like we were at a fancy restaurant at every meal, even setting up fans around the table to keep it cool. He and Walter made sure that the kids had something that they liked as well. Walter is an amazing chef and we looked forward to his meals every day. We had him show us how he prepared some of the meals so that we could try them at home. His empanadas and Mahi Mahi kabobs were especially amazing and worth a shout out. We never even really went out to eat except for drinks and appetizers during lunch when we were out and about. The kids basically lived in the pool the whole time we were at the villa. The bedrooms were large and comfortable. AC worked great in bedrooms (which we have noticed in the past can sometimes be an issue in PV during the summer.) The only negative I could even mention is that the mosquitos and no see ums were pretty bad here during the rainy season. There was insect repellent at the villa and we brought our own so as long as long as you were sprayed it wasn't a problem. Overall an amazing experience and you feel very spoiled here!

We chose puerto Vallarta because it was relatively easy to get there for all of us. Our choice of this property was genius! The house was beautiful and exactly (and ) more than we expected. Walter, the chef, created fabulous meals. If you stay there plan to EAT.

Wow! Had the most amazing weekend with my friends celebrating my bachelorette party. Rene and Walter were kind, welcoming and took great care of us. Went above and beyond on several occasions. Let's go to Mexico!
Me and five close friends just ended our vacation in Puerto Vallarta. Our departure was quite sad due to the fact that we had a wonderful time that would not have happened if it were not for the Villa Encantada owner and staff. Rene was awesome in pre-coordination even to the point where my best friend and I arrived earlier than planned. He and Walter (the Chef) had snacks and delicious margaritas waiting for me and my friends. The property (Villa Encantada) is beautifully nestled in the hills but very close to (walking distance) to downtown Puerto Vallarta. I don't recommend walking but if you should choose to do so, be ready for a journey. That said, all rooms were well appointed and cleaned daily by Isabel who was efficient and stealth. Also, the pool and view is spectacular where enjoyed lazy afternoons enjoying the sunsets. Walter's food was not only delicious but plentiful. We loved his chicken tacos that we ordered several times during our stay. His meals rivaled the restaurants in Puerto Vallarta so you may want to have dinner or lunch prepared by Walter! Rene was absolutely the best and made himself available to answer any and all of our questions and assistance when we need him. I have traveled a lot and Rene is probably the best house manager I have ever had. He was attentive ensuring that we were taken care of before we arrived to ordering our transportation upon our departure. Wonderful memories rush into my mind as I type this review making me ready to book another trip NOW! Highly recommend considering Villa Encantada...you will create fond memories that you will never forget!

Amazing!!! The house was everything advertised and more. Paul the owner was quick to respond with suggestions to any questions I had throughout the process. From the time our plane landed to the time we departed 8 days later, everything was seamless. The neighborhood was extremely safe as were the downtown areas which are only a five to ten minute $4.00 Uber ride away. I rarely use Uber other than on vacation and all of the drivers were quick to arrive, drove safely and were very courteous. This makes it easy if you want to go shopping for souvenirs, gifts or just to have a cocktail or meal off of the premises. The staff: Walter the Chef and Rene the concierge were two of the nicest people I've ever met and the food was astounding! My original plan was to have breakfast and lunch prepared by Walter and dine out each evening. After two of Walter's dinners those plans were changed. Paul predicted this and he was right. Living in NJ, we are continuously exposed to some of the finest restaurants in the tri-state area the world has to offer and I chose to dine in every night other than Sunday, Walter's day off. Our dining out experience on Sunday was excellent but I'll put Walter's skills and Rene's services up against any restaurant in Puerto Vallarta and sitting pool side while the sun sets has all of the ambience one could desire. There were always plenty of leftovers for lunch although the breakfast seemed to keep us full until the appetizers and frozen cocktails were served. I highly recommend Villa Encantada it does not disappoint!

Villa is as beautiful and well maintained as all photos and reviews indicate. Owner is great to work with, even though we had to reschedule three times due to COVID! Isabel cleaned every single room every single day. The entire staff (Walter and Renee) pampered us and made us feel like royalty. Highly recommend!! What a great place to visit and stay. Everything exceeded expectations. Compliments to the chef who took request and adapted the meals to our needs. The food was great, timely, and plentiful. The housekeeping was great as well. Got to give a shout out to Rene who provided great service all around. When ever we needed or requested anything, it just showed up. Everyone was extremely helpful and kind. We will definitely stay again.

We had the most incredible time at the villa. Renee and Chef Diablo were amazing, friendly, attentive and so fun to be around. The villa had everything we needed to make our weekend perfect. Thank you so much for everything!

As a child I was always told, "if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is". This proved me wrong, I emailed Paul (owner) and Rene (houseman) so much they even made a joke about it. The Delta variant is going strong right now so we were VERY worried about getting stuck there with Vallarta being an orange zone then went to red. II cannot tell you enough, everyone we ran into there was wearing a mask or staying far away from each other. We did some adventures and everywhere we went our temperatures were taken and provided with plenty of sanitizer. We had our Covid tests scheduled and they came to the Villa, took the tests and that evening we had our results for our return back to the states. About $37 per test per person plus a $27 fee to go to the Villa. Taxis did add up a bit but just plan to go to one central place and take it from there.About the house - all rooms are beautifully decorated, every room has it's own private bathroom and downstairs is a half bath. All rooms have their own AC except the kitchen and living area but the doors are kept open and fans are going. It was a bit humid but nothing West Texans could not stand. So you are good. The are was very safe for us, the walk down to the main street is a bit challenging, the walk up from main street to the house is a HUGE challenge but we laughed so much going up I think we were more tired of laughing than anything else. The pool is not huge but very pleasant and nice to enjoy. House is very secure and safe and very clean, yes there are little creatures that poke there head here and there but nothing to be afraid of at all. Remember, there is a jungle here.The FOOD - where do I even start - the food is 5 star, we had enchiladas, rice, beans, fruits, the guacamole (my favorite), steak one evening and so much more. Breakfast, appetizers, EVERYTHING was delicious, the margaritas.... mmmmm. MOST important for US.... the service, we did not see much of Isabel but everything was clean at all times. Walter and Rene, you could not ask for better service and they are the nicest people.... Paul, Rene (sorry for all the emails :( ) Walter, and Isabel.... thank you for one of the BEST weekends of our lives. We plan to return if they will have us.

BEYOND Amazing and Excellent
As a child I was always told, "if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is". This proved me wrong, I emailed Paul (owner) and Rene (houseman) so much they even made a joke about it. The Delta variant is going strong right now so we were VERY worried about getting stuck there with Vallarta being an orange zone then went to red. II cannot tell you enough, everyone we ran into there was wearing a mask or staying far away from each other. We did some adventures and everywhere we went our temperatures were taken and provided with plenty of sanitizer. We had our Covid tests scheduled and they came to the Villa, took the tests and that evening we had our results for our return back to the states. About $37 per test per person plus a $27 fee to go to the Villa. Taxis did add up a bit but just plan to go to one central place and take it from there.
About the house - all rooms are beautifully decorated, every room has it's own private bathroom and downstairs is a half bath. All rooms have their own AC except the kitchen and living area but the doors are kept open and fans are going. It was a bit humid but nothing West Texans could not stand. So you are good. The are was very safe for us, the walk down to the main street is a bit challenging, the walk up from main street to the house is a HUGE challenge but we laughed so much going up I think we were more tired of laughing than anything else. The pool is not huge but very pleasant and nice to enjoy. House is very secure and safe and very clean, yes there are little creatures that poke there head here and there but nothing to be afraid of at all. Remember, there is a jungle here.
The FOOD - where do I even start - the food is 5 star, we had enchiladas, rice, beans, fruits, the guacamole (my favorite), steak one evening and so much more. Bachelor party in Paradise
Villa Encantada couldn’t have been more perfect for our group of 9 guys on a bachelor party. The house and location were perfect for our long weekend. We thought it was going to be hard for villa Encantada to live up to all the reviews but with Reńe and Walters help our time far exceeded expectations. The house was kept clean and immaculate the whole time. Plenty of bedrooms and space to spread out. The pool and patio space was perfect for our large group too. As if the house and space wasn’t great enough we couldn’t be more thankful for Reńe and Walter. Every single need or request Reńe took care of immediately and we are all still dreaming of Walters cooking (especially the coconut shrimp). It’s hard to beat waking up to a perfect breakfast spread by the pool or coming home from the beach to another incredible dinner while watching the sunset. We only went out to dinner once the whole trip and we wished we would have just stayed back and let Walter cook for us. Can’t recommend Villa Encantada enough and hopefully we can make it back again with our wives.

Rene & Walter were attentive and anticipated our needs before we could even think we needed it. Communication prior was great, planning our upcoming meals and needs were amazing when we got there. The overall experience was so relaxing and enjoyable. The villa was always clean and Isabel did a fantastic job with refreshing the rooms and keeping common areas spotless. Walter went above and beyond for the dietary restrictions in our group without making anyone feel like it was an inconvenience. The food he prepared was always delicious. Our entire group was impressed!We had a great time! Thank you Rene, Walter and Isabel for all your hard work. Also to Paul for the fantastic communication! We look forward to returning again.

I can't say enough about this amazing Villa! It is so beautiful and the location is amazing. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time. They were honestly the best part of our stay. We would definitely book again!

Unbelievable stay
We were amazed by the service provided by the staff, the communication with the owner, everything was exactly what photos showed and better! We already RE-booked before leaving!! Encantada, Forever in My Heart!
Picture perfect getaway, vacation with a group of close friends. Concluding a 30 minute scenic drive from the airport, we weaved our way up a cobble stone hill and arrived at what would be our week long residence, a rustic palace behind walls, flanked by mariachi men (statues).
Entering the villa we were greeted by concierge staff Renee, and chef Walter who happily welcomed us with homemade guacamole and chips, and margaritas awaiting (yum). The house in person reads just as its pictures online suggest, lots of natural light coming through the various sliding wood/glass doors and windows (everywhere). The overall feel of the villa is rustic, decorated with cute art pieces and wall art in every corner. The bedrooms are spacious with private showers and bathrooms. Hot water is ample. If you need them, there is an iron and ironing board, plus massage table included. Air conditioner works well. The pool and solar powered hot tub is clean, we spent most of the week poolside. The location is great, mainly away from the touristy (airport) area but near the major beach area that is close to nightlife scene. Be careful walking up and down the hill, and crossing the road at the bottom.
Our group had breakfast and dinner prepared daily, and did lunch out. The food at the house was superb, Walter can make anything happen and accommodates all dietary needs. Isabel came to clean the house and rooms daily, it was wonderful. Renee is just AMAZING and attentive to every need. Overall we felt so welcomed and were treated like Amigos everyday.
My only negative would be the little geckos that scared me (lol) they can pop up in your room at anytime, but are totally harmless. There are several iguanas that love to bask in the sun along the railing so you'll get to take some cute photos. We would certainly make this our rental again next year.
